Because there are so many variances in the type of Interior Design Service a person requires, we cannot advise the costs until we obtain a detailed Scope of Work.
The cost for the initial consult/site visit to discuss the Scope of Work is $350.00 + GST for up to maximum of 2 hours. After this meeting, we provide a detailed Interior Design Proposal with our fees for client approval.

It was a delight to work with Jane. I had consultations with 4 designers before choosing Jane. Our styles aligned and I could tell from the start she was organised and on top of her game. I now live in a space I truly love and I know that wouldn’t be the case if I hadn’t used Jane to help me bring it to life. More...

I have utilised Jane’s interior design service on two large domestic projects in the past 5 years. Jane’s artistic flair and her design expertise are second to none. Her professionalism and interpersonal skills are outstanding. What sets Jane apart is her ability to intuit what her customer wants and then to elevate that concept or style preference to a superlative level. The cherry on top is that Jane is such a beautiful and trustworthy person with whom it is always a total pleasure to work. I would highly recommend Jane Lineham Interiors without reservation. More...

Katrina... It really has been so enjoyable, helping both yourself and John with the revamping and refreshment of 2 homes now and thank you for trusting and believing in me. What fun we have had sourcing, shopping, laughing and discussing various suitable scenarios and making it all come together. So thankful that a lovely and valuable friendship has evolved from our work together.
What’s your interior design process?
1/. First step - Contact with client via phone call or email, which enables us to get a brief of their design project and what they are wanting to achieve.
2/. Second Step - Meeting with client to enable us to get to know each other face to face and discuss the scope of work in more detail. This also allows us to get a feel for the site/space or home. Discussions are had regarding project management, clients vision, ideas and style. Photos are taken at this stage.
3/. Third Step - The fee proposal is then prepared and presented to client. This will outline the Interior design services included.
Often with smaller projects ( 1-2 Rooms or smaller spaces) an hourly rate is more cost effective. Larger projects - e.g. Renovations or new builds - A lump sum estimate (with monthly progress payments) is normally best suited to both parties. This then allows clients to budget the Interior Design component into their full project costing and helps with their budgeting. All this will be explained fully at the first meeting.
4/. Fourth Step - Once our fee proposal is approved, then the work commences. Planning of the space/s, mood boards, samples, colours and finishes are all thoughtfully curated and items sourced. These are then presented to client for approval - Then the magic starts to happen.
Note: If organisation of trades is required - then quotations are obtained for approval as well, before commencement of work.
5/. Fifth Step - Action. All that important initial planning leads to the careful execution of the project and clients start to see their new space/s come to life! Rest assured, we are with you all the way until final completion. We also assist, where required, in the final interior decoration right to the last detail if required, while always maintaining our high standards.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I cater for all styles of Interior Design. I am often referred to as being an adaptable designer. I feel that this description is warranted, owing to my 29 years of practical and professional experience of all trending and timeless design. Over the years, I have learnt to interpret all sorts of styles and to work with my clients personalities to ascertain what is just right for them. My clients always influence the style I create for them. My aim is to give them something unique, that is not cookie cutter style, but is special for them and how they live their lives.
What do you love most about your job?
I was born to create and I love people! Working and meeting with my clients is what gives me joy when I go to work each day. No project is the same, as no people are the same. I enjoy the process of getting to know them and understanding their personalities and their likes and dislikes. If I had not been an interior designer, I would have been a psychologist, without a doubt!
However, the two really go hand in hand, especially when being the mentor between husband and wives (or partners) who often have different opinions and tastes. With a little compromise and guidance we get there!!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had a homewares store in New Zealand for 10 years and was finding that clients were regularly asking me to create beauty in their homes, as they loved my store and the design items I was offering. So, I started helping them and it just escalated to such an extent that I closed my retail business to follow my true calling. I completed my professional Interior Design Diploma and then launched my full time design business. It was a natural progression and the rest is history!!
Why should our clients choose you?
They will be in safe hands with a designer who has vast experience and whom they can trust.
Over the years I have been practicing, I have developed extremely reliable, credible contacts and suppliers, who are worth their weight in gold. This gives myself and clients a unique and valuable advantage in all areas of their design project in regards to quality and standard of work.
I understand how daunting it is to hire a designer, but I offer experience and a proven track record of satisfied clients. I reassure my clients that I offer an experience and not just a service.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can work remotely and online :
I have recently completed a full renovation and refurbishment of an apartment in Rainbow Bay, Queensland during COVID - With careful planning at our end and a fantastic builder on site - it went together like clockwork, with no hiccups at all. I had plans finalised, everything ordered and ready to go before construction started and the flow was incredible and there were absolutely no issues. Planning and details are paramount in these situations.
Also just completing a Coastal project in New Zealand, which has all been done remotely (via emails and phone calls) - right down to furniture being organised and ordered from America and shipped to site!
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Covid is not really an issue with clients anymore - thank goodness! However, we will always wear masks and take precautions when asked to do so by our clients.
I am also very pro masks (due to COVID) if anyone is sick to stop spreading bugs.
