Are you stuck in a relationship that feels like a constant power struggle? Feeling lost and hopeless as to how you can carry on this way? This is totally normal and you are not alone as this is happening in relationships all around you. Reading this suggests you are ready to make a change. Major life events such as child abuse, illness, bereavement, parenting, family estrangement, financial loss or gain are places where traumatic feelings can hide and create large open uncomfortable spaces impossible to live peacefully in. Patterns of unhelpful behaviour begin and two people who were once very close can feel very far apart, overwhelmed with low self-esteem, fear of rejection lack of empathy and intimacy. Alongside everyday life demands, the pressure on a relationship becomes too much to bear and cracks appear. As one or both partners seek escape from the pressures, you can find yourselves in dangerous territory leading you even further away from one another.
Only with openness, honesty, kindness and compassion to yourself and to one another can you learn better ways to appreciate the highs and shoulder the lows of life together, while maintaining the loving connection essential to your wellbeing and to those of all around you. If both individuals are committed to putting in the work then you have found someone in me who is truly passionate about relationships, coming from a place of personal experience that working on your relationship at any stage is the best investment you will ever make. With empathy and zero judgment at my core I will work my hardest to help you turn back toward one another using a combination of specialist counselling and coaching skills to explore the issues from both perspectives either together as a couple, or on a one to one basis. Time is a healer but also a luxury so in as few sessions as possible I will work with the two of you toward a place where your relationship has the best chance of thriving.
​I work online with over 18’s offering a free online 45 minute introductory session before you make a choice to commit. I will give a recommendation of a number of sessions I think you will need, however there is no obligation to book more than one at a time. My skills are transferable to individuals and couples and can be applied to any kind of close relationship.
