We can't recommend the G&A Hotel in Melrose enough. The incredible staff there are EXCEEDINGLY kind and helpful. The food is plentiful and delicious, and the hospitality experienced there is second to none. We will never forget our stay!

Stayed here for 1 night during a 3 day cycle event with friends. We arrived much later than we had arranged in the evening, but the staff couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming, they sorted our bikes into a lockup and immediately served our food (there were 12 of us), whilst we ate they brought us our room keys and afterwards helped carry our bags upstairs. Where do I start me and the family just got back home from staying at this amazing hotel first day we got here the staff where amazing humour and funny would be a understatement of the year they was incredible the manager rob was great to speak to treated you like his own family couldn’t do enough for to help you settle or make things comfortable for you I am autistic and I suffer from anxiety also and rob and understood me from 1 we stayed a long weekend and the food was amazing we was up Scotland for a birthday party and rob gave us private dining with my auntie which gave us a great meal and family time as well this place seriously is highly highly recommended guys Price - reasonable ( I didn’t pay mum did lol ) Rooms - clean and great space Toilets - clean and a lot of space Bar area - great laugh with staff extremely welcoming and big bar area they also do live entertainment some weekends Aswell like a open mic night etc Staff- out of this world even Owners- dawn and Graham great hosts and amazing couple Also they are a pet friendly hotel :) Very welcoming to people with disabilities such as autism :))) Manager - rob and bar manager Wayne the humour was incredible was very informative about the local area so if u wanted to know restaurants or sites etc I know I wrote a lot but serious people I wouldn’t stop anywhere else !!
