Lacey at Take The Lead is truly the perfect person for this career. Having know Lace her entire life and her relationship with all animals during that time, I am absolutely confinident that anyone who is interested in giving lace a chance to know their dog and to get to know lace personally will not be disappointed. I am extremely proud of my baby sister for finding a career that she truly loves as I know how rare that is More...

Lacey has been amazing with our two large German Shepherds! Especially with are one high(er) energy, enthusiastic boy Atlas. I have seen so much improvement with his on leash walks since Lacey has then working with them. Highly recommended Take the Lead dog walking! I don't know what I'd do without her. More...

Lacey is a very flexible dog walker & spends time training while out & about. My little Boston terrier has been going to her since he was 4 months & I can tell he genuinely enjoys his time spent with her & her other pups.

Lacey is a natural around dogs. She really cares about each and every pooch. Your pooch will return home exhausted (but happy). Keep up the great work Lacey, and thanks More...

What do you love most about your job?
I find it fascinating figuring out each and every dog separately . All of their individual quirks, habits and finding out what works for them! There is nothing better then getting to know a dog and seeing their happy little faces pressed up against the front window or jumping into your arms when you are there to pick them up for their walk.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It wasn’t an easy path getting here, as with most people in their 20’s, we are searching for something both fulfilling and that makes us happy. I studied fashion, I worked in the service industry for many years, I worked in film and travelled as much as I possibly could. During those times, I would always volunteer to both babysit and foster any dogs that were ever in need. It took some time, but I finally realized the path I had been searching for had been right in front of me this entire time. I fell in love with figuring each and every dog out as an individual , figuring out their quirks, what works for them and how to communicate with them. I absolutely love it!
Why should our clients choose you?
I will treat your four legged friend as if they are my own, I will go the extra mile for anything you or they need and I take the time to get to know each of them individually.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During these changing times with Covid, we have had to make a few adjustments on how we run our day to day. We now only do curtsied pick up with the dogs if the owners are home, we use our own leashes which are cleaned and sanitize every night, we ourselves sanitize before and after every client and practice social distancing while we are out walking.
