Blake and Blake Photography

Prior to our wedding, Teresa was thorough in her consultation and answering any questions we had via email and phone calls. On the day of, Teresa and her husband (assistant) arrived early and well-equipped to take photos indoors and outdoors and were prepared for the forecasted rainy weather. They were patient, professional, and very accommodating with our requests, along with our family members’. Shooting family group photos was a task (with elderly folks and young children) that they managed to complete efficiently and effectively. We were consulted in the editing process to select which tones/brightness of photos we preferred.
Theresa provided a variety of well-captured candid and posed shots of our afternoon civil wedding and evening reception that my husband and I will cherish for a lifetime.

Theresa is attentive, caring and easy to get along with. She did my wedding and we love all the photos.

First impressions are everything and a great first impression generally leads to a great experience!
Our wedding Photography by Theresa Blake was a great experience.
First impression #1:The first meeting by phone was professional, casual and not rushed!
Many phone meetings are a "quick ya ya I got this see you on the date of your event!"
My impression was Theresa seemed to take the time to listen to the answers of the prepared questions she had for us and did not answer them herself

Impression #2 Its our wedding day, I'm running around the hall trying to get the decorations & the tables just right!
I see a casually dressed couple walking up carrying shoulder bags, I think this is Theresa and her assistant, but this is not them.
I turn around to head back in the the venue I'm greeted by a big smile and a well dressed couple in black, I immediately assume they are part of our serving staff.

They are dressed professionally, my impression is they will blend into the event.
We recently attended a very high end Large Italian Wedding, all the Photography, DJ & special event staff were wearing jeans & t shirts they all looked very unprofessional, they stood out as not being part of the event, not a good impression for a high end wedding special events company.

Impression #3 Theresa took care of business right away organizing the picture taking with our Minster and our Venue Hostess, she then advised me on how she wanted me to stand and what to do with my lovely Bride during and after the service.
This in emotional time, your a bundle of nerves, having direction really helps you focus on the task at hand.
Remember this is YOUR DAY, YOUR SHOW, you want it to go smooth be the best it can be!
You want THE BRIDE & GROOM TO LOOK THEIR BEST!

Once the service was over, we walked outside, Theresa was there, she immediately took control, she organized the order of picture taking following our instructions from our phone meeting.
A sick frail relative needed to be in the first pictures, this was done with ease and then some elderly family were next.
Theresa had us move to another spot with a lovely background working with our family, Theresa asked us what we wanted and who we wanted as we worked throughout the pictures.
We then move on to the bride and groom pictures, at one point some family tried to cut in and take pictures and Theresa gently told them this was our time with her.
I appreciated that as many times people can change the direction of what your trying to accomplish.

The reception was smooth sailing, I would notice our photography team taking pictures gliding effortlessly through the evening.

We had a wonderful day with many great wedding pictures. Theresa listened to what we wanted and took the time with us, my only regret was not enough time spent with her taking pictures of the two of us.

Theresa was fabulous to work with. She was on time and present throughout the entire day and evening! She was fun and worked with the bright sun in the middle of the day to still capture great photos of our wedding. Theresa is incredibly hard working, honest and a pleasure to be around. Theresa has done both my wedding and maternity photos and both times, has gone above and beyond.

For our wedding, she was so generous with her time, professional and fun to work with! She made sure to get to all of the photos on my very long photo checklist and did so efficiently - my family and the wedding party all appreciated that the photos during the cocktail hour didn't feel like they took forever.

Her candid photographs were beautiful and captured the happiness that was shared on our special day. When she had a few extra minutes, she took still shots of our wedding decor, which will be so nice to have as a memory! The family and wedding party shots were very natural looking and included lots of variety (locations, talking to each other, smiling, being silly, etc..). Lastly, the photos of my husband Stuart and I, make me feel so happy inside! I can see our personalities popping through and she captured how happy we felt!

We are so lucky to have these photos and will treasure them. After the wedding, she provided us with the photos online and mailed a memory stick with the photos as well.

We hired Theresa to photograph our wedding and do our engagement shoot. She has been great! Blake and Blake Photography is a husband-and-wife team. Theresa took the photos and video of my wedding while Chris handled all the equipment. They were punctual and took photos the whole time. I liked all the posed shots and the candid shots they took of me and my guests. All the main aspects of my wedding were captured; the ceremony with the priest, signing of the papers, the Hindu section, cake cutting and first dance.
