I was dealing with back pain from a bulged disk in my spine for many years. Was at the point where I thought I needed surgery.

I did a few months of 1 on 1 with Evelyn and then on my own worth a program she had created for me. Within 4 months I was back feeling great with her guidance!

I would highly recommend her to anybody from a beginner to an expert. She has the best understanding and is incredibly personable!

Evelyn coached me in boxing for the better part of a year in 2020-21. Because of her experience as a boxer, I learned a lot and saw frequent improvement. She was very patient and encouraging, flexible and adaptable to what I wanted versus following her own agenda, but she did not hold back from needed course correction. At 74 years old, I began my strength training journey with Evelyn Calado. Training twice a week, I saw it as an investment in my future. Now, at 77, the results have surpassed my expectations. My bone density has increased, reducing the risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Beyond physical health, I've experienced improved mobility, stamina, and sleep quality. I've had the pleasure of training with Evelyn for several years, and I can confidently say that she is one of the best strength and conditioning coaches out there. Her knowledge, dedication, and enthusiasm are inspiring, and I saw progress and results under her guidance.

Evelyn is not only incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of strength training, but she is also an excellent communicator and teacher. I've been training with Evelyn for the better part of a year. I'm super pleased with my results. Evelyn is exactly what I'd always wanted in a trainer for several important reasons. First, she knows how to keep changing the stimulus so that I continue to see progress and stay motivated, without stagnating or hitting a plateau. Second, I'm a very active hockey player and Evelyn carefully designs my program around the sport, targeting precisely the right exercises to help me perform better and reduce the risk of injury on the ice. Finally, and best of all, after decades of strength training but never really knowing how to do deadlifts, Evelyn has got me deadlifting a weight I would not have imagined possible. The deadlift is an amazing and deeply gratifying exercise when it's done right and I love the way it has transformed my appearance, poise, and strength. Evelyn is very fun to work with. I have been working with her for more than 2 years. She finds out what my needs are, I. e. rehabbing from an injury, strengthening certain muscle for specific sport activity or conditioning, and designs a program that works for me. All I have to do is to show up and do the work. She also checks in with me before and after each session, ensuring how my body is doing. There is no secret. You need to put in the work, be patient, consistent, and committed to the process.

Everyone assumes that body transformation and strength gains can happen over night. However, I like to remind my clients that it's about the process not the end game.

Habits need to be developed over time. Showing up every day you are training, staying focused and ready to work, and not just going through the motions, is what will help you achieve your dream body.

I love helping people, seeing them get stronger, move better and develop the same passion that I have for training.

-a client leaves the session feeling better than when they started
- a client can't wait to share what they lifted on their own
- a clients shares their success with me (ie won a sports match, opened a jar on their own, trained by themselves and felt confident doing so)

I always have my clients best interest at heart, I bring over a decade of experience not only coaching, but shadowing high level coaches.

A key thing that sets me apart is my formal eduction - which in my opinion is lacking in the fitness industry. I am constantly learning; whether it is taking another course, reading a book, or research papers - my goal is to continually learn so that I can best help my clients to achieve their goals.

Yes, we do provide remote services. One our website you will see rates for individual sessions, hybrid training and custom program design to train on your own.

Every client we work with starts with an Initial Assessment, which can be done either virtually or in person. That is the framework for me to build a custom program based on your goals. Everything will be specific to you, and the equipment you have access to.

If you already have a membership at a gym, a custom program is a great way to go! Starting at just $250/month.

Services

We build your foundation from the ground up, offering specific training that is personalized to your needs, injuries, and specific history. Exercise prescription is based on your goals and weaknesses. Training is a skill that needs to be learned. You will not only improve physically, but also begin to develop the same passion for training that we have.

Learn the basics of the ‘sweet science’ or refine your technical fight skills from a coach who has competed at the National level. All ages are welcome. In our opinion, there is no better conditioning than a boxing session. It’s also a lot of fun to hit something!

Do you train from home or have access to a gym? Or are you an athlete who would like a strength and conditioning program specific to the demands of your sport? Programs are made specifically to your training needs, weaknesses, gym equipment and skill level. Your program is delivered to you through an app, that allows you to track your progress, make comments and communicate with your coach. We encourage you to send videos via the app for your coach to provide feedback to you.

Develop skills to excel in your sport and move optimally. Physical literacy and fundamental movement skills such as jumping, landing, change of direction and throwing are all important skills to round an athlete’s abilities, improve performance and reduce injury. Research shows that youth should be exposed to a wide variety of stimuli to avoid early sport specialization. Get stronger and move better in a fun environment! Small group and team training are also available.

After the client's initial assessment, Hybrid Training includes custom programming and 1-4 private training sessions per month. The individual training sessions can be done either virtually or in person. These private sessions not only strengthen the coach-athlete relationship but also allow for necessary adjustments to your training program as you make progress. Additionally, it provides program check-ins to ensure you are performing the exercises correctly and answers any questions you may have about your program.
