I am over 65 years old, and I have had the pleasure of working with Kim at fabYOUlous fitness on site as well as with her online training packages. I love the studio setting because it is dedicated just to clients during their training sessions. I call it the "anti-gym" because it's personalized and private and specialized to my needs. What really calls my name here is how the training sessions are tailored specifically to my current fitness level as well as my overall fitness goals. And on several occasions, when I was dealing with an injury of some sort, Kim designed stretching / strength exercises that helped with recovery from the injury. Because I have moved away from Columbus, Kim is now my "cyber" trainer; I am using her online training packages to keep me on track and dedicated to my workouts. She continues to design tailored workouts for me, and we have regular conferences to discuss my progress and struggles. I could not ask for a more positive and encouraging fitness coach. But you gotta know this - if she sees that you're slacking off, you are going to hear about it from her. What you won't hear are any chastising words. No major frills, but the machines are in good working order and they have all make muscle groups. They also have a free-weight squat press and bench, a rack of dumbbells, and some cardio equipment.
Overall a great local gym, especially if you live near Mt. Lookout square.

Nutrition. Plain and simple. Without a good nutrition plan you will fall short of your goals. It's been said 1000's of times, "You can't out work a bad diet." And it's true. Talking to my clients. Sometimes I think i'm more of of a therapist than a trainer. I love that my clients feel close enough to me to share very personal stories, feelings, and events. They confide in me, and we form a very unique bond. I love my clients and they are each very different. Even the families I train, each member can confide in me and they know it never gets back to the rest of the family. It's a very special relationship with each person.
I want to be able to do things my way, which I think is the right way. I want to be able to make my own rules when it comes to help someone out, versus being told what I can or can't charge someone. If i want to give someone a session or more on the house because of hard times or just simple appreciation, I can.
