Core- Based- Training

Hi! I am Gena, and I love helping people create or improve a base they can forever rely on! I am a certified personal trainer, health coach, and tactical training specialist! You can lose body fat and gain muscle strength all through core based training. Core based training is not just working on your abdominal muscles, we believe it creates your whole foundation. Without core activation we have a poor base. If we have a poor base it is super hard to function and takes more time to achieve any fitness goal you have. We believe it is the most sustainable, efficient, and creative way to go! Hop off the rollercoaster and brace yourself! BTW-All my social media links are in my website! ;)

How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?

First thing we do is we simply talk. Making sure that we are the right fit takes two steps. 1.Intro call to get to know each other better and 2. A consultation call to specifically discuss how we will get to your goals as well as figuring out where you are in the moment. I never tell me clients what they HAVE to do (no trainer had the right to do.) However, what I will do is help you figure out what works for you and how to adapt to different situation. I will tell you my suggestions and the scientific aspect as to why, but you taking my suggest is primarily up to you! I will not just be taking the scientific aspect of things but also your personal circumstances, in which I think is often looked over. If I can not help you, I will tell you that. So the whole process of trying a trainer for a few months to see if they are the right fit, will not happen with me. I value both are times so I will only help you reach your goals if I know we are the right fit!

What’s the secret to getting the body of your dreams?

Make up your own secret! (That's the real truth, how do you think all those "losing fat" methods got braught up, it was originated from someone and they made their own secret!)

What do you love most about your job?

This will sound super cheesy, but honestly the moment clients are surprised with themselves and all that they can achieve. Really makes me feel like I've done my job!

What inspired you to start your own business?

I have always had trouble with my relationship with fitness (as well as nutrition). Growing up I was stuck with the label "strong", so I got super fixated on keeping that label and did not care how I would workout or how I would eat. Therefore, there was always this stopping point where I could't improve more. No matter how many times I restarted my journey, I never got past that point. I also saw how being fit or lack of would affect literally everyone. It would affect family gatherings, friendships, and other events. Whenever going out to a restaurant someone alwayyyssss has to say "omg I ate do much", or "omg I need to workout after this", or "omg I am soo full", etc. I personally saw how my family and friends suffered mentally from something that is seen as so simple. At around 16, I decided that I needed to work on my self, get educated, and help others. Once I got my certificate, I started reaching out to people to help then, and here I am now!

Why should our clients choose you?

Obviously I am 100% bias haha! I will say that we really do focus on developing a strong core base so that you can function your best on the day to day basis as you work towards your goal! I absolutly love how now days more and more social media apps are moving towards healthy lifestyles and creating healthy habits. If I am to be honest I used to work with one of those and hated it. I would basically just pick from their workout library and edit anything that needed to be edited. I would also talk with clients daily but I wasn't really motivated because my clients were not seeing results the way they wanted to. Working on my own is amazing, because I really do get to be as personal as possible, and your program would be as personalized as it can get. Not just that but you also get strategy based programs which is my specialty!

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

As time goes by, I am training virtually more and more!! One of the issues I see some clients have with virtual id that they are worried about their form and worried that they won't be as motivated. In our live sessions, I really do focus on form more than anything, I also use fancy technology that can help pin point where the issue in your form is! As for motivation I do daily checkins. I also do weekly progress check ins. Every Thursday you would take progress pics, weight ins, and do a reflection/survey. The survey is for me to see how I can imporve. The reflection is a chance for you to realize what you are proud of yourself doing that week and how did you achieve it and 2 things you would like to work on the next week, and specifc strategies on how you plan to do so! I do all of this on Thursdays because I feel like doing check ins on Sunday's just gets people in a negative mind set!

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

Wearing a mask or not wearing one is completely up to you! If you feel more comfortable with both of us wearing one then so be it!!
