Stayed overnight with my husband and son from black Friday one night just for fun, eats, shopping, fireworks. Opted for the kamaaina rate for the suite about $320, super huge room, awesome amenities, free parking, relaxing! Will return ASAP. Easy booking online and quick check in process. Truly had a wonderful time with my husband and son! More...

Okay, it ain't no Pagoda, but it'll do!!! JK! It's not often I travel to Honolulu, but when I do, I look for price and convenience in a Hotel. The Ala Moana Hotel definitely has both!Centrally located in town, on the outskirts of Waikiki and right next to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, this Hotel has it all! Plus, it's right next door to some great French Restaurant my peeps like to go to - Femme Nu - or something fancy like that! The only bad thing is they charge for parking, which is abundant in their basement lot, but who doesn't anymore! The rooms I've stayed in were nice and clean, but the bathrooms were a little on the small side. Big screen TV and a queen sized bed, plus a spectacular view (thanks to the front desk clerk who hooked it up!) There is a Starbucks in the lobby, with plenty of seating, a nice pantry store to buy your refreshments and a couple of restaurants there as well. I especially liked the Breakfast buffet, which had some pretty good hot breakfast, plus BACON!!! That alone is worth the price!I had a partial ocean view room with a balcony and spent a lot of time out there, checking out the sights. It's been a long time since I've been able to appreciate the area I grew up in. Made for a very enjoyable stay! All in all, great customer service, clean and well equipped rooms and a great value for the money, not to mention convenience. A definite must stay at, especially for Kamaainae More...

3.5 Star Business Class Hotel. I think that is pretty accurate. Saw several businessmen and women in suits. Saw groups of locals who seemed to be visiting from other islands. Later saw flight crews and groups of Japanese visitors. For me, we were getting our house tented for termites. So I looked for local hotels with a good daily rate for a brief stay until we were cleared to go back into our house.Started with Trivago and Hotels.com. We didn't want to be in the congestion of Waikiki. Ala Moana is next to the mall where we could go to eat and take a walk while trying to kill some time and make the best of our short staycation. Of course, you must pay for parking and there is a resort fee and room taxes...but compared to other lower-cost hotels this was the best deal for a convenient location.Parking: When checking in, just park in the basement lot and take the ticket up one level to the front desk. No car? No problem and no parking fee.Room: Our room was very clean, large well-designed bathroom, safe, refer, microwave, and an extra comfortable king sized bed. This was a 4 star room. I think we were upgraded to ocean view because we signed up for a standard room.Service: 5 Stars. You can check out by phone or by stopping at the desk.We had a great time and I recommend this business class hotel. More...

By far one of the "Nicest" Starbucks in da 808! Where is this Starbucks Coffee Shop located? Why in the Ala Moana Hotel lobby of course. :DNow that the secret is out.........another well kept secret is revealed! Another secret about this coffee shop is that this particular Starbucks actually sells ALCOHOL here! Yes gang, you read it right as I had to do a double take when I came here..........I really couldn't believe that this coffee shop sold beers & wine, but they do here. AMAZING!A few nice things about this coffee shop -1. Ultra spacious, as there is a ton of space & seating at this coffee shop.2. Of course if you're hungry, there is available sandwiches, as well as bakery goods sold here. 3. Did I mentioned they sold alcohol here? Lol!4. Parking access is easy, as you can park inside of the hotel, or if you're like me where I parked at the Ala Moana Shopping Center (for free), then walked over to the hotel (there is a ramp that is connected from the hotel, to the Ala Moana Shopping center). So there you have it.......this is a ultra fancy Starbucks, and if you're in the area, may I suggest you check it out.Tell them dat Bruddah Fran sent ya! This is definitely in my top 5 favorite places to study/work. Keep in mind it is in the Ala Moana Hotel, so it does get busy and noisy at times. I've been coming here for months hence I do a lot of onlinPros:-Lots of outlets if you need to charge your laptop-staff is really friendly-clean environment-security comes by every few hours to make sure nothing weird is going on -community tables have outlets. Cons:-it will get loud because its right in the hotel-it can get crowded because everyone likes studying hereKeep in mind if you order iced water it cost money (they charge for the cup at this location). You cannot use your starbucks app to use rewards, but you can still pay with the app to earn stars. More...

All in all, a decent hotel. We stayed here for a convention, and I could not ask for a better Hawaiin hotel. Our check-in was a breeze, and our front desk attendant (Hadie, I think) was very funny and welcoming. Also, all of the suggestions she made regarding food and drink were spot on. The room was pretty comfortable and had all of the necessities that one would need for s short trip. I just wished that the pillows were a bit firmer, but the room was pretty clean. The hotel is located right next to the Ala Moana Center, which is the largest open-air mall in the world. If you forgot to pack/bring anything for your trip, then the Ala Moana Center will have everything that you need . . . and more. Since the hotel is located in the center of downtown Honolulu, there are plenty of places to eat and drink . . . even within the Ala Moana Center. The hotel has a restaurant/bar on the top floor. We did not have a chance to eat there, but the happy hour was nice. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the pool too much because the hotel was repairing it (or doing something else) every morning from 9 am to 1 pm. More...

I like to take advantage of the available pool, gym, and sauna while there. There is available on-site parking which has increased. Nevertheless, I always enjoy my stay here through the years. Im liking this starbucks. As it is the first starbucks that is so different from the rest. One is because its clean and the seating are so comfortable and lounge area is huge. I do not come here to drink but they are the only starbucks in hawaii that serves alcohol. staff are friendly, some days are different workers. Maybe its extra comfy and clean because its located inside a hotel (Alamoana hotel) super relaxing to study/paperworks etc. good place to go with your girlfriends to talk, gossip lol. And nice place to have a meeting too. More...

This hotel is conveniently located right next door to the Ala Moana shopping Center. There is a ramp directly linking the hotel to the mall on the second floor. You simply get right to it after departing from elevator and it's right on your face! Great amenities. The valet stAff are awesome. Whenever we venture out, husband picks up the phone and by the time we go for stairs, the car is ready in front! Not only 3 minutes! Such service! We also love the Signature Steakhouse Restaurant upstairs. The best but rib eye, fries and cocktails with incredible views! We also found out they have happy hours in our last day. It is quite popular with locals as well as tourists! The Starbucks is located conveniently in the lobby and there is the Ala Moana Park and Magic island across the street. These beaches are less crowded and populated with locals. . More...

This is a decent hotel. The rooms are a bit small, but the location is amazing. The mall is just a short walk on the sky bridge on level 2 and pool on level 3. The mall has so many places to eat and things to do, it would be difficult to be board. Also Ala Moana regional park is just across the street. No jacuzzi at the hotel, but I don't care much for them anyway. Our room overlooked the pool and had a slight view of the ocean. More...

Recently attended an institution merger and soup and make your own sandwiches were available after you cast your vote.Very different menu but worked well for a comfortable filling meal. The brownies were to die for- have to admit I put one on my plate on my first round. The overpowering chocolate goodness gave me the energy and courage to go up once more towards the buffet line but only for 2 pieces of brownies. Compliments to the baker- so chewy and packed with chocolate chips. Our female employee filled my request of iced decaf coffee and brought it to where I was sitting. She had perfect intuition because she kept checking on if it was made to my liking. Guess who was super delighted that meal? I didnt hesitate when she offered another glassful.Besides salad, cheese and deli meat platters there was fresh crunchy chips and the hugest bowl of egg salad I have ever seen on any buffet line in this world. Their bread selections were awesome as well.Hope in the future I have another opportunity for their out of this world brownies, egg salad sandwich and milky colored coffee with my cream. More...

My husband and I visited Hawaii for the first time and chose ala Moana as it seemed pretty close to everything. We stayed 3 nights and we loved it here. Our flight landed at 11 meaning we would've had to wait until 3 to check in. We decided to just ask if it was possible to check in early without a charge and the lady(I didn't catch her name) told us at 12 we could check in without a fee (score!) also when the time came to checkout we were able to check out an hour later (double score) We booked through the hotels.com app and breakfast was included. It was really good and they had a good variety, I especially enjoyed the fried rice and Portuguese sausage. The room was a good size definitely not huge but good for 2 people and overall clean. The beach is within walking distance and the ala Moana outdoor mall is connect through a sky bridge on the 2nd floor which was convenient. Also not far from Waikiki about a 7-8$ Uber drive away or 20 minute walk We would definitely stay here again More...

I stayed here for 4 nights and I liked it. It had a gym, pool, convenience store and a starbucks that also sells wine and beer. There is a$20 breakfast buffet I enjoyed. The rooms have a fridge and microwave. The rooms are better decorated than the pics online show but the blue carpet is still hideous. The rooms are not worn down and I saw no insects. This hotel is big. It is literally 2 blocks away from the Hawaii convention center. If you have planned to do some activities the activity shuttle buses will pick you up at this hotel because it is on their normal route. This hotel is a good choice. More...

I really enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. The location is great, right between Waikiki and Downtown Honolulu, walking distance to Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island, and also the Ala Moana Center, which is a huge open air Mall. The pool and workout area is on the 3rd floor, and the pool is a pretty good size and mostly deep, great for swimming.I thought the room was good sized, loved that they had a mini refrigerator and a microwave, I wish all hotels would have that. The beds were very comfortable, and the balcony was great. My daughter loved this hotel and room also. Check in and check out was very quick and easy. Everyone we encountered were very friendly. I had a rental car and did the self park for $25 per day, which isn't too bad, and it was right underneath the Hotel. My daughter said if we come back, she wants to stay here again, and I agree!! I haven't been here in years. I used to come when they served dinner. Now they serve breakfast. The buy one get one free is a limited time special. They have two belgium waffle makers. Be sure to spray on the spam on the hot iron so the cooked waffle can come out. Do not forget to read the instructions. I liked the crispy bacon and the poached egg on the corned beef hash. They also had fried rice, small pieces of potatoes. The fruits were fresh and there was also fried rice, scrambled eggs, ham, small pastries, oatmeal, yogurt. The special is only on certain days - weekdays...for a limited time. We were served with a smile and received timely refills. The cost for one person was close to $19.00 so that price for two is pretty good. More...
