The worst thing about John is that he tells me things I don't want to hear. I mean, it's stuff I *need* to hear; it is truthful, and I *need* to act on the information. .. But he doesn't shove it down my throat, and never says "I told you so" when I figure it out for myself. Honestly, he's kind of like a cheerleader for my mental health. He has cheers to lift me up when I'm not doing so well, and cheers to help me recognize breakthroughs. All without pom-poms or yelling. John is an authentic mental health professional who has nothing more than a desire to help in his heart. I have already recommended him to others. John is very easy to connect and ground with. My first session with him felt like I walked into a conversation with a friend, versus the usual therapist-patient interaction I was accustomed to. John is amazing! He's very sweet, positive, and energetic, even at 9pm on a Friday or Saturday evening! He knows all the right questions to ask to get to the bottom of why I'm feeling a certain way or thinking a certain thought. Furthermore, he's also very patient and gives me space and time to rant a bit if I need to. His hours are perfect for students and healthcare workers like me, who basically can't make any appointments or meetings before 6 or 7pm.
