I am trained in Psychotherapy and Cognitive Analytic Therapy Skills as well as Mental Health Nursing. I have many years experience of working with Trauma and Abuse , Adjustment and Post Traumatic Stress. We will work together in one hour sessions to identify specific and troubling patterns of behaviours and feelings that you may be finding difficult to manage or cope with. Some of these behaviours may include addictions and or self harming behaviours including eating disorders and risk taking behaviours. We will explore the impact that this is having on your relationship with self and also with others. What do you love most about your job?

I love working with people and helping them to find there way through difficult times in their lives. I am passionate about the work I do and have done for the past 40 years. I find this work so humbling and so rewarding. I have been so privileged to sit with others and for them to allow me to listen to their thoughts , acknowledge their feelings during the most vulnerable times in their lives.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was offered a new post in the NHS as a Supervisory Clinician doing Mental Health assessments having been employed as a Psychotherapist previously. I wanted to continue my work as a. Therapist and decided to start my own business so that I could continue to do the work that I love and to continue to utilise my experience and skills. I now work 2 days a week for the NHS and offer private therapy on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings.

Why should our clients choose you?

I am a very experienced Psychotherapist and a qualified Mental Health Nurse with over 35 years experience working in the NHS and British Armed Forces. My work is my passion and I have worked with people from many different backgrounds and in a variety of settings including prison, special hospital (Broadmoor) , hospice, GP practices, NSPCC and the community. I am very empathic, non judgemental and believe that we are all capable of change for the better. Above all I am a people person.
