What do you love most about your job?
Inspiring creativity in the next generation of 'possible' musicians and entertainers AND to teach people a different skill set to use as their emotional or stress outlets. This is something that, once you can play comfortably and smoothly, should be your go to on good and bad days, as well as a way to connect with other people.
Why 'possible' musicians? Because not everyone wants to pursue the creative arts full time, but most people tackling the guitar properly have similar motivations - relaxing and having fun with it,either on their own OR with others.
I've taught over 1300+ students in my day and many have gone on to join or start bands, study music full time and some have even gotten into prestigious music/art schools abroad or charted on radio with their own compositions.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Working for academies are great, but unfortunately due to the pandemic the 'vibes and creative environment' in a lot creative institutions are not the same it is was pre-covid.
And unfortunately that plays a part in creative development.
So I moved on from teaching for academies after 15 years and doing it privately.
Also - to be frank - Financially, Covid hit the face-to-face academies hard.
With lock downs and temporary shut downs due to possible cases making the fluidity of the set weekly 'brick and mortar based lessons' a gamble for some, the logical choice for me is to move to online and move away from academies and teach as an individual.
This, in my opinion AND experience, also gives the student more flexibility in scheduling and different lesson material in multiple formats to assist the student.
Why should our clients choose you?
Years of experience is just one factor.
I treat every student as an individual and not as 'just another client' who has to conform to the same methodology and same material.
Your motives for wanting to learn an instrument isn't necessarily the same as someone else's.
Due to this I cater for you individual needs and aspirations.
HOWEVER - You only see me for 30-45min a week to guide and direct you - the REST of it is ALL YOU: Practice makes perfect!
We will work as a team and get you to a point where guitar lessons aren't just another hobby you picked up along the way, but a skill set and outlet.

Currently, due to the nature of the pandemic, I prefer to do online/remote lessons.
Out of my 15+ years doing lessons,I have been doing online lessons as my main method since our initial lockdown, to great results.
It also gives the student more flexibility in scheduling.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Doing my lessons online, Covid doesn't affect myself or the students whatsoever when it comes to our interactions as teacher student.
IN FACT - With the lessons being online/remote, If you get Covid, you can STILL do your lessons EVEN WHILE YOU QUARATINE (depending on how you feel of course!)
