Amy was the second best part of my wedding day, second only to marrying my best friend. She is warm, bubbly, personable, creative, and knows how to wrangle a large crowd!
She pays attention to the little details. Some of my favorite shots from our wedding day are the candids of little things, my grandmother whispering in my ear, my sister feeding me a bite of bagel in between photos, my mom and mother in law laughing with each other during toasts.
In addition to our wedding, Amy also did a lifestyle shoot with us. I may love those photos even more than our wedding day photos. They're so intimate and so real, they perfectly captured everything I love about our little home and our little family, with our two dogs.
Last thing I want to say- I am not photogenic. I am not a model. My husband and I are both uncomfortable in front of cameras and hate pictures of ourselves. We both forget that when Amy is the one holding the camera. She has a demeanor that makes you feel so natural, it doesn't matter that there is a camera there. You're just in the moment. And when she takes your photo, you always look like your best self.

When my grandmother passed away this year, my family was able to get together with everyone in the same location for the first time in several years. Â We wanted to get a family portrait, since it had been twelve years since the last one had been taken. Â We chose Mar Del to document the occasion, and the portraits we received are the best we have ever owned and worth every penny. Â We purchased several sizes and poses and displayed them in our home. Â There is never a visitor in our home who does not compliment the portraits. Â The quality of the prints far surpass any previous portraits we have gotten. Â Also, the customer service was better than what I could ask from a business. Â We got stuck in the snow and were going to be late for our appointment by at least two hours. Â Jerry rearranged his schedule so that we could still have our pictures taken, since this was the only day and time the whole family could make it. Â Once we finally made it to the location, all the children were cranky and unwilling to listen to parents. Jerry was funny and personable and somehow had the ability to make them all smile so that our pictures turned out great. We will definitely be returning to Mar Del for future portraits, to include senior pictures and weddings for our three girls.

Hubby and I are NOT naturals in front of the camera. A few days ahead of the shoot, Chelsea gave us helpful recommendations for clothes, hair, and accessories. Her coaching on the day was constructive, comfortable, and let us stay true to ourselves. As a result, the photos were gorgeous- most of my favorites made me look beautiful at what I consider my worst angles. Although this was an anniversary shoot, we wish she could have done our wedding.
