What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?

There is no camera in the world that can take a "great" photograph. I don't care if you spend $10,000 on a new DSLR it still won't produce a great photograph. The secret to a great photograph is the photographer. A great photographer is not only someone with the "know how" but with a love affair with life! Its the photographers combined knowledge and passion that truly makes a good photograph extraordinary!

What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?

Questions I might ask a client when starting a new project would consist of the basics. I always want to know exactly what it is that they're looking for to ensure that I'm the right photographer for them. Just like I tell all my brides, "50 years from now I want you to look at your Wedding Album and fall in love all over again.... these are your photos not mine!" I truly want my clients to love their photos regardless of the nature and want to be sure that we are a perfect match and there will be regrets on either end when the project is complete.

What do you love most about your job?

Job? This is definitely not a "job" for me. I love what I do... photography is what gets inside of me and makes me genuinely happy. I get to capture the moments of people's lives that will bring them joy for years to come. I get to see people in their greatest moments.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Starting my own business was purely by accident. I took film photography as a college elective in 2007 because nothing else was available and I had to fill that void. From the moment I put my hands on my first Canon 35mm camera I fell in love and never turned back. After college an unexpected internship fell into my lap at The Resident Community Newspaper in Jacksonville, Florida. It was during this time that I was forced to move with the ever growing technology and retire my film camera and move into digital. After some time at The Resident I was asked to photograph my first Wedding and Reception at The Kenwood Inn in St. Augustine, Florida. It was after this day that my plans to form my own business came into sight. The owner of the Inn approached me at the end and offered me a spot as their "go to" photographer for all their in house weddings. Weddings came like clockwork at The Kennwood and soon after I found myself booking weddings throughout Northeast Florida and eventually nationwide. To date I have photographed over 1,000 Weddings, Boudoir Sessions, Family Sessions, Special Events, Sports, Professional Headshots, and Birth/Newborn Sessions. Regardless of where life may take me I will always have a passion for my photography and growing business.

Why should our clients choose you?

I'm you're photographer and what I mean by that is that I'm your girl from the moment we have a consultation until the end. All my clients have my personal cellphone number and easy access to me as their photographer. I offer personal client websites with all their documents and paperless signing, online viewing gallery, digital high resolution downloads, top printers in the business, and I continue my education routinely to keep up on new techniques in both photo editing and digital photography and lighting techniques. I am also fully insured and registered as a LLC in the State of Florida. (I will be happy to acquire the appropriate licenses to photograph in any state if hired outside of Florida)
