Starting from a young age, I have been doing photography for most of my life. After several years of taking photos at cycling events, I decided to move my focus more toward portrait photography which I found to be just as interesting and rewarding. I started taking photos at a young age (~11 years old) just playing with my parent's DLSR camera. After a several years of taking photos at cycling events/races, I was inspired to take my work to the next level and publish it online where others could view it.
For sports, I am a great choice since I not only have a vast amount of experience in the field, but I am also a high-performance athlete myself. As such, I understand the importance of capturing certain details that only an athlete would look for.
For portrait-style photography, I am a great choice as I take it upon myself to ensure that the client receives what they require and more. Unlike other photographers, I do not place a limit on the number of photos someone would receive. Instead, I share all RAW versions as well as every edited photo that I pick out of the original batch. In addition, for higher level photo shoots I offer the option to clients to select RAW versions to be edited if they see a photo they wish to be edited in addition to the ones I pick.
The secret to taking a great photo is to look beyond the physical properties of an image and to create a story with your photography. There is a saying that "a photo can tell a thousand words". I believe this can be truly exhibited by thinking past the surface level and creating something more than just a photo.
