‘20 Certificate of Excellence

I, Ashley Belsinger, M.S., started Paragon Life Coaching in 2015 to provide exceptional, evidence-based life coaching to help people improve their quality of life. I use a sliding scale fee structure based on your income to help make coaching affordable. In addition to individual life coaching, I offer self-improvement classes and presentations. My background includes an undergraduate degree in psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology, as well as years practicing in the field. My approach to coaching emphasizes collaborating based on clients' goals, values, and a process that resonates for that individual. I utilize cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and humanistic/positive psychology. I work with clients on a wide variety of topics: - stress management and resilience - relationships (romantic, familial, friendships, parental, etc) - assertive communication - productivity, performance, and time/energy management - career - workplace challenges - lifestyle/health habits - developing meaning - happiness and contentment - transitions, including entering the "empty nest" period and retirement - self-esteem and confidence - improving boundaries - living aligned with values - self-care - setting limits/creating balance - effective study habits - making decisions - motivation - overcoming challenges Please see the "Is this me?" page on my website for a more comprehensive list.

What do you love most about your job?

I love seeing the results of client's growth and how it impacts them in their day-to-day life; the ripple effects can be remarkable. I also love those "aha" moments when something just "clicks" for someone and they have a pivotal insight or they discover a strategy that is easy to use and effective. Seeing people embrace themselves and set boundaries is rewarding, as well as when someone finds a career position that's a great fit for them and they get it! It's also really rewarding to work with business owners and see how their business grows over time as a result of everything they've done.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I wanted to be in charge of making decisions that are based on doing "what's right" in a situation and providing the best service possible--even if that service is a referral for another coach or a therapist. I appreciate being able to develop all of the "processes" from how someone contacts me to our last session and any follow-up, so it can be structured in a way that's most beneficial.

Why should our clients choose you?

I have integrity and am effective, down to earth, and professional. I'm authentic, which helps to create trust. It seems easy for me to understand people's experiences and their reactions, as much as possible without actually being in their shoes- it's important to be understood. This is cliche, but clients I work with "get results," which (I think) is pretty incredible to be able to say that happens reliably; it's a team effort, and it's the clients who do most of the work, but I like knowing I was instrumental along the way. Most importantly, I respect the people I work with.
