We are a small company offering in-home dog training in the Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA areas. In-home dog training is ideal as it give us the real behavior the dogs demonstrate since we will be in your home and there are not additional distractions. Pets are comfortable being in their own surroundings. But, we understand you can’t always be there for training. Working with Damien of Always Faithful Dog Training was a pleasure. His training was like a playtime for our playful, energetic 2-1/2 year old Rusty. As a “pandemic puppy” he did not receive puppy class training as our previous puppies had. I was at my wits’ end as to how to handle our way too barky dog. Damien taught us good techniques for teaching him to be calmer. We will continue to use these techniques and work (play) with Rusty, and he is so much better already. Our five week, one day a week, session wasn’t cheap, but I consider it money very well spent for the improvement in Rusty’s behavior and the lessening of my anxiety and the much more positive feelings I have about him. Yes, I can provide services remotely if required. I generally prefer working personally with my clients as it allows me a more complete picture of each person, their dog, the home situation, and a variety of other important details. However, I recognize this isn't always possible.
I always wear a mask and keep my distance. Additionally, I ask what every client is comfortable with before the session begins (i.e. restricting work to outside areas, etc).
