Staci has been incredible! Her home was a wonderful sanctuary for my 1.5 year old mini Aussie Cosmo. Cosmo had aggression, possession, anti social behavior. Due to personal circumstances I could not be consistent with him and his needs.
About 6 months I had sent Cosmo to ‘off leash K9’ after a week of being at the trainers house he had to come home as he was not eating, he looked extremely distressed. I was very skeptical about sending him to another board train program but I had to, as he was unmanageable, so I spoke to various companies and had my list of questions. I decided to go with Staci for a number of reasons about from her manhood years of experience. 1) Staci was very forthcoming in letting me come to her home and see where Cosmo would be living. She ran me through what his training would be like and managed my expectations. Other companies I spoke to did not offer this to me and wanted me to simply hand my doggie over to them without seeing the place. 2) Staci owns extremely well trained Border Collies and when I went to view the home, they were very friendly. There was also a huge cane corso. Staci had them all behaved and they would all play with each other when they were ‘ready’ 3) the social element was important for me, the dogs learn how to be at home, no peeing on things, learn to sit in their place when told to 4) Staci owns doggie treadmills and the dogs love them, not only does she walk the dogs frequently the dogs get time on the treadmill 5) the dogs are treated like family and you can feel it, just a fabulous environment. 6) I was welcome to come and play with Cosmo and be around him frequently, Staci was very accommodating and would always make time (also a great chef and host) for when I came to go through training drills for Cosmo.
Cosmo has been with Staci for the 6 week board and train and has stayed an additional week or so. His development has been exceptional! He can be around other dogs and people without me being super nervous. He is becoming the dog I unfortunately could not train him to be. The dog he deserves to be. I am really excited to take him home now and continue training him, whereas before I did not know where to start.
I cannot recommend Staci enough. Above and beyond my expectations, thank you very much for giving me the foundation and knowledge to finally become and confident dog daddy.
