If you have a dog, you probably also have ideas about how you and your dog can or should relate. From companionship to protection, dogs can basically do it all, but not without some help. In fact, the biggest threat to the bond between you and your dog is their behavior – the one thing you may not know how to address on your own. At Ancillary K9, we believe you can have the relationship you want with the dog you love.

Smudgette, my great dane, and I worked with Tyler on obedience, on and off lead etiquette and some undesirable behaviors like over excitement and jumping. We are transformed! Tyler listens to the issues, solves the exact nature of the problems, and answered every conceivable question I had, which was a lot. He's patient, considerate and genuinely worked to ensure we were going have successful long term outcomes. I HIGHLY recommend Tyler and Ancillary K9

THANK YOU Alpha K9 Training. Thank you for giving me and my dog the training, tools, and skills to navigate life more successfully.
My rescue dog has dog reactivity and is very anxious in certain situations. This has been a huge struggle emotionally and physically for me. Emotionally because it can be isolating when my dog doesn't get along with other dogs. And physically because I was not sure what to do or how to manage....
Alpha K9's 2 week training program was a game changer. Jon and Michelle helped build confidence in my dog and myself, giving us the tools and skillset to handle all sorts of different situations life might throw at us.
My dog is still reactive, reactivity cannot be cured BUT it can be better managed. I told Jon and Michelle my goal was to be able to go camping with my friends and their dogs, and this weekend we did just that. There were 4 dogs, including my own, and they all were able to coexist and even play!! My stress levels have gone down immensely and I feel so much more confident handling my reactive fur boy. He has even made other dog friends!
Not to mention - Jon and Michelle answer all of my millions of questions during and after training. I am so grateful to have them!

I have dealt with Sit means sit in the past and had great success with them. It is expensive and at first it is hard to get over the fact that you are giving your animal a slight "tick" to remind them to pay attention to you. After getting a boxer puppy a few months ago, I thought that I would be able to train him and get him under control without the help of a trainer....Boy was I wrong. After only 2 weeks of training with Sit Means Sit, the puppy is a completely different dog. The collar never bothers him and he responds better that I could have ever hoped. He doesn't have accidents anymore, he walks without pulling and is moving on to bigger and better commands. I am simply amazed at how much difference a good trainer can make and Sit Means Sit definitely provides just that. By far the best decision I have made in regards to raising a happy well behaved boxer and excited to continue the training and see just how smart this puppy is.
Do you want a well-trained dog that understands what you want and actually wants to work with you? Then you need my method of training - The Shambala Way. I don’t believe in using pain or harsh methods. Nor do I believe in purely positive training — because R+ trainers don’t believe in correcting a dog or setting boundaries. You may see some internet fad trainers who use choke collars or slip leads and think it looks great.

Clay arrived on time and was very pleasant to work with. He gave us gentle guidance on how to more effectively handle our german shepherd, Lida, and I could see her responding better that very same day! His advice felt very constructive and overall Clay was just very easy to work with. Highly recommend!

I offer private, in-home dog training to Littleton and surrounding areas. There are three steps to my process for improving the way your dog's behavior fits with your life: 1. First, I consult with you to create the best training plan for your dog and situation. 2. Next, I train the difficult, urgent, or especially important parts of the plan directly with your dog. 3.
I'm a Positive trainer with experience in balanced training with over a decade of dog walking in New York City under my belt. I specialize in working with reactive dogs with an emphasis on dog to dog reactivity. I love to help people learn how to properly teach their dog to walk on a loose leash, barking and other physical reactivity to other dogs and/or people, all the while helping to build a stronger and more nurturing bond between pet and pet parent.

Our little monster just graduated from puppy obedience. We plan to drop in for another class or two before moving up into the basic obedience course. The facilities are clean and professionally run. The instruction is very much focused on training the owners, not the dogs. We're there to learn how to train our pup vs having someone train him for us.
We understand that every dog is different and has different needs when it comes to training. We offer a free initial consultation to meet with you and your dog, and then take them out into the world ( your home, park, neighborhood walk, etc.) to understand your dog's needs and help determine what training would be best. All of our programs are customized to the needs of your dog and we offer pick up and drop off for board and train programs.

I’ve been lucky enough to experience hundreds of different animals of all species and dispositions, and to learn from them all. My behavior work focuses primarily on shy, anxious, and fearful animals. I utilize desensitization and counter-conditioning to help them build confidence and the ability to socialize with less anxiety.

Our trainers have over 40 years combined experience and our founder is one of only five behaviorist in the state. In addition to private clients, regional rescue organizations and shelters utilize our team to rehabilitate and rehome otherwise unadoptable dogs. Our science-based, no-treat positive reinforcement methods create harmony and balance in the canine-human bond.
Our team can all agree that the best part of our jobs is being a part of creating stringer human-canine bonds by facilitating an understanding in pet handlers of what dogs need and how to achieve that harmony.
When got woof? was founded in 2000, there was significantly less that was understood generally about dogs, but a definite need for that education. As the science progresses and dogs have become family in a way they weren't a few years ago, people have come to understand more clearly how increase these creatures are. To be able to create balance within that dynamic remains tremendously rewarding.
Our approach is fairly unique in that we don't utilize treats to train. Some dogs aren't food motivated, and some situations require a response where treats may not be readily available. Rather than providing "bribes" for desired responses, we build mutually beneficial relationships.
We provide remote, one-on-one services throughout the US and Canada.
We added remote services during the pandemic as a way to still benefit our clients while maintaining a safe distance. During lockdown, an unprecedented number of people fostered or adopted new family members who benefitted from the individual training we provide.
