This is a very sad story. My dog maxx was neglected here. He was leave alone to eat foreign objects including tennis ball, licky mat, foam bedding, and licorice candy(wrapper and all).
I got a call during my vacation to Hawaii that maxx was in critical condition. Left alone to be miserable, he became dangerously dehydrated from vomiting and needed to be put on iv fluids to be stabilized. I was half world away from my best friend that could die because I could even say goodbye one last time.
Willow wood abandoned maxx at the vet. I had to go to the vet, pick him up, and foot the bill. Willow dropped the boarding cost. That’s all. They did nothing else to help me with the thousands in vet bills. At this time, fluid therapy stabilized him and he was able to go home. A few days later. Maxx got very very very sick again. I took him back and they did emergency surgery on him. They found the licorice candy wrapper. Still no help from willow wood. I had to take time off work to care for maxx. The manager says I signed a waiver waiving them from medical care. At the time, I never imagined they would allow my dog to eat licorice. The manager denied everything but later commented the truth on my Facebook review.
Maxx didn’t deserve this neglect. No dog does. Maxx wears the permanent scars on his belly from what happened.
All I requested from Willow wood was my dog to be returned to me in the condition he was dropped off in at the location he was dropped off at for the agreed upon cost of boarding. No discounts. That was too much to ask.
There’s no excuse for licorice candy. I dropped him off with treats, toys, and food. I did not approve the resort to feed maxx foam bedding, tennis ball, licky mat, and licorice candy. The toys given to him were not the toys I dropped him off with.

Brought my Sophie here for the first time a couple months ago and she absolutely loves it! She is normally very timid in new places and meeting new people, but it is easy to see that she enjoys her time here! I take my 2 Boston Terriers here for Daycare, and I boarded them for the first time over the weekend. I can not say enough good things about Willow Wood. They made me feel special and I know they love our dogs. They take care of them like their own. We had a great experience with Dr Whiteman. Our cat was ill and our previous vet wasn’t very proactive in finding out what was wrong with her. After 10 weeks of diarrhea I had enough and changed her care to Dr Whiteman (who came highly recommended). Dr Whiteman took the time to listen to all of her symptoms, ordered the correct lab tests, prescribed the appropriate antibiotics, and my cat is now FINALLY on the mend! Thank you Dr Whiteman! This place is amazing! I was so nervous having to leave my puppy for the first time. They explained everything to me before I could even ask! (= They cover EVERYTHING when you come in and customize whatever you may need! They are very activity oriented and have a huge variety of other activites. They were so excited about some of the activities they created and explained how important it was while staying. I picked a Movie Matinee everyday! (= Louie played with his friends and got to watch Hotel for Dogs on their Big Screen TV. It was so cute! I truly hope everyone that has a pet gets to see what this place has to offer! More...
