What do you love most about your job?
I love teaching clients how to better understand and communicate with their dogs. My favorite thing is when a client lights up because it all finally clicks. Because the training starts to work and they are able to see the progress in their dog's behavior and emotions. There's nothing better than that.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my own dog walking and sitting business in 2018. In 2020 I applied to study dog training, behavior and client counseling at the Academy for Dog Trainers. Once I graduated I knew I wanted to transition into training. Having my own business is hard but very rewarding.
Why should our clients choose you?
I care about my clients and dog's well-being. I train using humane methods that are all science-based. I try to be empathetic to my clients' issues and create solutions instead of client blaming. I also love to laugh and have fun!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I have one remote program and it's for clients who are wanting to talk to a trainer before they bring home their new puppy. It's called, Puppy Prep Zoom.
Wildflower Puppy Program (1 year or younger)
For puppies 1 year or younger needing work on basic obedience, potty training, crate training, or socialization. We can work on any specific behaviors you need and customize your training program.
Includes:
-1 Goal Setting Session
-3 weeks of training that includes:
--3 private training sessions/week where I work 1-1 with your at work.
--1 training together session/week where we meet and go over everything your puppy has learned.
-2 follow up sessions where we review and expand upon skills.
Socialization Program (age 8-16 weeks)
Socialization is time-sensitive and important to focus on with puppies under 16 weeks of age. Socialization helps prepare puppies to feel safe, comfortable, and confident in our world. When puppies aren't properly socialized the fallout can include fear of people, dogs, places, sounds and objects. That fear can escalate to aggression. Therefore, enrolling in a socialization program can be extremely beneficial for the health of your puppy. My program has two tracks. The first is that I work 1-1 with your puppy while you're at work. The second is that I work 1-1 with you to teach you how to properly socialize your puppy.
Puppy Prep Zoom
For those who are planning on adopting a puppy and would like to ask a trainer questions prior to bringing them home. We can talk about my 3 Keys to Puppy Prep: Potty training, puppy proofing, and socialization.
