A New Mochi, my Aussie Shepherd
I cannot say enough about how pleased and happy I am to have Mochi, my almost 3 year old Aussie shepherd, get boarded and trained at Wag Mates Academy for 4 weeks. I cannot thank Erin enough, in particular, for having my dog stay with her and family. Erin was great, patient and loving towards Mochi whose biggest issue was reactivity. She came home almost a completely different dog. She walks without pulling on leash, does recall well, and obeys commands like quiet--when I ask her to stop barking. Although she is still reactive towards bikers and passersby after 11 days since return, she isn't as stubborn as she used to be when asked to stop. I believed that by reinforcing and following up on what Erin has started with her like more exposure, patience and affection, Mochi will continue to thrive and be a better companion to me. Overall, the board & training with almost daily video reports of Mochi's progress was and is still worth, all that I paid for.

My pup just went through a four week training with David and I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the results. He addressed all my problems I was having and she came back so well behaved. I got videos daily and was in constant communication on her progress. Absolutely great job on training my 10mo old German Shepherd. My pup was trained for 3 weeks with Anthony. Anthony was very informative and gave consistent updates on how my pup was doing. I really appreciated the knowledge that Anthony provided to understand the psychology side that goes into puppy training but also to upkeep that structured routine that keep my dogs brain stimulated and entertained. I only have wonderful things to say about Wag Mates Academy. Anthony was fantastic working with our Grace. Being a Husky, she was a handful. She came home a new dog. Calm and obedient, and much easier to handle. Anthony sent us pictures and videos every day, explaining his training step-by-step. He answered all our questions and had a solution for all our issues. When he brought her home, he spent a lot of time with me showing me how to work with her and every detail. We have recommended Wag Mates to a few of our friends. My experience with wag mates and my trainer was nothing but exceptional from the start. I had the pleasure of working with their amazing trainer Tressie for my Doberman and I was instantly able to see an improvement in my baby’s behavior when she came back. Having such a high energy dog for the first time and not always being sure how to direct it can be frustrating at times but since working with wag mates and Tressie I’m definitely more confident in this process. She took the time to walk me through everything that needed to be done upon my dogs return home from and made sure I was confident before she left us, and also allowed me to reach out for my questions/concerns.
We 100% plan to continue on our training journey with Tressie and we’re excited and more than positive about the growth we know we’re going to see in our baby. Any future dogs I plan on getting will also hopefully have the opportunity to work with her too! More...

Wag Mates is not a cheap solution or a quick fix by any means. BUT it was worth every penny. Max drove from NJ to PA to pick up our Australian cattle dog, Gilmour, who was dealing with some mild aggression and impulsivity issues. "Gil" stayed with Max and his family for 4 weeks, during which time we received multiple pix/videos per day, showing and explaining what they were working on. The tips were a lot to absorb for non-trainers like ourselves, but once we really broke down the techniques they were working on, they were easy to adopt at home. We've noticed a positive change in Gil, which stems from the things he learned during his time with Max, as well as the training techniques we continued once he was returned to us. Highly recommend! My experience with Wag Mates Academy had been wonderful. The administration and trainer are always ready to help. My pup's trainer, Dyese, kept me up to date about his training during his stay with her. I could tell she took detailed notes during our phone conversation by the way she specifically addressed those concerns in our WhatsApp briefings, that included videos of my pup's progress. The handover was wonderful. Dyese worked with us for at least an hour going over commands and further training exercises.

My only issue was recidivism, but with lifetime aftercare this will be easily addressed. Dog training is a life long process. More...

My experience with Wag Mates and specifically Trainer David was amazing ! My pup came back home so much calmer and understood her commands with ease. David provided daily videos of my pup interacting with other dogs and even provided examples of how to properly execute a command. There are not enough positive words that I can use to describe Erin’s training of our dog. The daily updates and videos were so helpful to reinforce his behavior at home. 4 months ago I found a 6 week old puppy crossing a 65 mph highway. After a few months of having him I knew I needed professional help in training him to do standard commands. After looking at a few options I settled on Wag Mates puppy board and train program. Trainer Jason L was assigned to work with Highway. During the 2-weeks Jason provided me with progress videos and he has been very responsive to any questions concerns I had about Highway's training. After 2 weeks Jason returned with my puppy and I was amazed. Highway had grown a bit, he looked the same but he was so well behaved I asked if they had switched dogs. LOL 😆. Jason also spent an hour with my husband and I to demonstrate for us what had been done to train Highway while he was under his tutelage and what needed to be done by us for Highway's continued success. Wag Mates told me that they will remain committed to Highway after his training was over and seeing how Jason has remained responsive to my questions and concerns after Highway's training has ended. I am very confident that Wag Mates will be there for Highway and I if we need them in the future.

Emma was a great communicator and made setting up my pup's training easy.

Johnny was great from the jump. He answered all our questions via text and was promptly available when we were ready to chat on the phone. He already had a great game plan together for our two boys and made us feel really comfortable in the whole process. Though they are more expensive than competitors, we chose them because:
- the program is 4 weeks and technically a smaller per day cost
- both dogs could go at the same time
- availability was only a week away and they were flexible with vacation time we had planned
- training plan exactly fit our needs
- trainers experience is incredible

Overall, we are super happy to use WagMates and can’t wait to see our boys at the end of the program. More...

If your looking for help with training go with wagmates hands down best choice! Especially the trainer my Luna (5 month old Malinois) got Anthony and the way he has trained and been with Luna I couldn’t have asked anyone better. In my book if anyone needs dog training wagmates is the way to go for sure 💜 I’m beyond happy I chose wagmates for Luna! I can’t find the words to describe my appreciation for all Anthony did with Luna. I know I have work to do with her but definitely didn’t know where to begin the foundation he set in place and guidance helps so much! I adopted a German Shepherd-Husky mix dog from the pound a few months ago and while she has a very sweet disposition, she was not interested in training at all. She was a little shut down and honestly a little stubborn when it came to doing anything she didn't want to do.

So when we started to look into training options, we came across so many options. All we knew is that we wanted to train her using positive reinforcement. Our dog, Ginger, was sweet and a bit timid and we didn't want her go through anything harsh as she had already spent 3 months at the pound and who knows how long on the streets.

I reached out to a few different training companies, but after several disappointing calls, I got a call from Macey at Wag Mates Academy. From the start I could tell she had the best interest of my dog in mind. I spoke to her after having Ginger for 2 weeks, so she suggested I wait a bit longer to allow Ginger time to settle in more. She agreed that positive reinforcement would be a great option for Ginger. She was the only person to not pressure me to send my dog away ASAP.

About a month later, she followed up and we talked about their board and train program. It was a tough decision, mainly because we would have to board Ginger for 3 weeks, but Macey was great at putting me at ease about the program and took the time to answer all my questions. Once we figured out dates that is when we were lucky enough to be matched with Njoud, who would take on training Ginger. We had a great call to discuss all of Gingers quirks, issues, personality and what I had been doing so far. We discussed logistics and what the goal for the program was.

When Njoud came to pick up Ginger, I was immediately put at ease. Ginger was very timid with new people but she opened up to Njoud from the start. Njoud sent constant, daily updates, usually with pics, videos or both. She would walk us through everything she was doing so we understood. A big part of this is the humans being able to continue what is implemented in the program, so seeing clips of the training program really helped us feel like part of the training.

Day after day and week after week we saw Ginger open up more and more and make such progress in her training. We Njoud talked us through at length anytime there was an issue or Ginger would struggle with something, so we would know how to handle it. The level of communication was incredible. We really felt at ease to ask anything. Njoud is truly amazing and super patient!

When the 3 weeks were over, we got a completely different dog. We realized just how much she had been holding back. We got a detailed report and at drop off Njoud walked us through what Ginger had learned and she gave us the knowledge to be able to continue it. That timid dog that was holding back was no longer there and we got a playful, happy, well mannered dog back. She still has some issues she struggles with, but with consistency and the tools to work with her, I know Ginger will only continue to make progress.

In the weeks since she has been home, Njoud has followed up with us and when I have questions about any issues I have with Ginger, I have been able to reach out and ask for advice on how to handle the situation in the future. They have lifetime support and you can set up time monthly to have a follow up session to discuss how things are going.

Dontae was the trainer for my puppy. The transformation in my adorable furbaby Ghost's behavior is truly remarkable. While he's still a young pup and has more learning ahead, being a French Bulldog, known for their training challenges, he's already mastered sitting, staying, and lying down on command. AMAZING WORK!!!

My first contact with Wag Mates was with Macey. I must say, I was a little nervous about my pal going away for 6 weeks but Macey talked me through it at put my mind at ease. Great introduction to the company!
I was then paired up with my trainer (Tressie) and again I was super impressed. Not only did I get videos everyday explaining what was happening but she took great care of RANGER as well.
Fast forward to 6 weeks and my expectations werent met... THEY EXCEEDED everything I was expecting this to be. I am no longer embarassed to take my dog out and now find myself showing him off to family and love ones.
