Exceeded our Expectations! Â Working with Aaron, Abigail and the rest of the guys at Total Home Improvement was hassle-free. Â Aaron was extremely patient in the planning phases of our bathroom design. Â We met with him several times to go over design and material selection and we never felt rushed. Â Abigail was instrumental in making sure things were moving according to schedule. Â I can't say enough about Nathan, who is not only talented at laying tile but also took any concerns we had seriously. Â He communicated everything back to Aaron and Aaron got it taken care of immediately. Total Home Improvement just completed remodeling my kitchen and guest bath, adding hardwood floors to our living spaces, and painting several of our living area rooms. As intrusive as a total remodel can be, given that we completely gutted our kitchen and bath, the crew was respectful of our space, meticulous with their work, and responsive to any concerns or questions I had. The workmanship was excellent, from cabinet installment, wood flooring installment, and back splash installment. And from the beginning, the project was planned out so that one part of the project preceded the next without delay in between project segments. Well planned, great execution and on budget! We had a fairly large project to be done with a few unique elements that needed special attention to detail. We spent considerable time with Aaron on the up front planning and he assured us that would help us avoid surprises and budget over runs as the project progressed, he was correct. The attention to detail up front, took a little more time than anticipated, but it kept the project flowing smoothly without wasted time or budget surprises. Aaron provided welcomed guidance on material selection with attention toward cost management. Abigail, served as the communication hub between us, Aaron and the workers. She always kept us up to date and a pleasure to work with. All of the THI employees were professional throughout the month’s long project. They arrived on time, did quality work, were courteous and always cleaned up the jobsite upon leaving for the day. Any work that was contracted out, was well coordinated, efficiently executed and completed in a timely and professional manner. With so many moving parts, it’s amazing that we had no issues of any consequence. Any issues that arose were handled quickly to our satisfaction and despite the fact that we had a number of additions and subtractions along the way, everything went smoothly and within the budget that we established at the start. I would strongly suggest you select Total Home Improvement as your vendor for any kind of remodeling. I went to a Home Improvement show which had 5 vendors. I interviewed all 5 and asked all 5 to remodel/estimate my kitchen using the same specs. Total Home Improvement was by far the leader. I looked online for their accreditation’s. I did not have any one who used them so I had no personal references. But now you have mine. Little did Aaron (owner) know but once I selected his company, I had more work for them. I basically remodeled my entire main floor of my ranch house. Remodeled the entire kitchen, new tile floors, carpeting, trim around the windows and baseboards in every room. I replaced every interior door and exterior doors. Painted every single room. New lighting in several rooms. I could not have been more impressed or happier with selecting THI. Aaron is an excellent project manager and his crew was detailed oriented and has outstanding workmanship abilities. His crew added finishing touches that I would never have expected or asked for. I had one issue with my counter top and Aaron rectified it immediately. Due to the counter top issue, my remodel was only delayed by one week from the original completion date. Total Home Improvement is really what you dream for in a contractor - they are responsive, helpful, skilled, timely, neat. THI & Aaron have done an entire interior paint job, exterior painting, remodeled two of our bathrooms and remodeled our kitchen. Each job better than the last. Aaron worries about every detail and his crew members are great workers. They price jobs fairly. Our kitchen floor was not level due to sagging in certain areas, which could result in water leaking into the basement below. Aaron came out and performed a thorough and extensive assessment of the condition of the floor and supports in the basement. He provided several recommendations to repair the sagging. His crew gutted our kitchen, leveled the floor, put in new flooring and kitchen, plus painted the first floor. The cost was spot on with our budget. I work from home and his guys were fantastic! Polite(no foul language!), diligent, prompt and their workmanship was top notch- really know what their doing. The repairs, kitchen remodel and painting were done in the timeline presented. After the amazing renovations they did on our home three years ago, there was no doubt in our minds that we'd be working with them again for our next project. Choosing our materials and designing our new kitchen was easy and convenient- all done at their showroom in Grayslake. Once the work began, the crew was friendly and impeccably neat. We hired Total Home Improvement to install new flooring in two of our company restrooms. They were punctual, polite, professional and did an outstanding job installing our flooring.
Customers come into our office and comment on how nice our newly-remodeled restrooms look. Thanks to Aaron and his crew for a job well done. It is not easy to find an affordable contractor who does such high-quality work.
We will definitely be utilizing their services in the future, and we will recommend them to anyone needing remodeling work done.

Total Home Improvement (THI) and its affiliate Precision Painting & Power washing helped us update our new home. We heard about them through a friend who had recently redone their kitchen and basement. The work looked great and they were very pleased with the service, so we decided to give them a try for our new house. We had a lot of painting done throughout, trim and molding installed, fireplace completely remodeled, bathroom remodeled, and other small handy work. Our house looks amazing and they exceeded our expectations. THI has a showroom in Grayslake where we went to pick out our cabinets, counter tops, and paint. They responded to emails and phone calls quickly, the work was done as scheduled and on time for our move in date, and our final figure came out just as we were quoted.
