Chris was super responsive, extemely helpful and very reasonably priced and his crew were some of the nicest guys. They beared with me while I directed them where to go with a ton more stuff then actually fits in my apartment and with a smile on their faces. What can I say.....these guys saved our move. I am a disabled veteran. My son was moving to Jersey City for Grad School at NYU. The apt. he was moving into has very strict COI requirements. We had hired a mover through Hireahelper. After sending the COI requirements to the mover I made contact via phone. The owner assured me that he had more than enough coverage for the apts COI. That was app 2 weeks before the move. The Friday before the move, which was scheduled for the following Tuesday, I called the owner again, to confirm all was done and that he would be at the apt at 11am sharp ready to work, as the apt only gives a 2 hr window to use their loading dock/freight elevator before charging fees due to it being peak moving season. He once again confirmed everything was taken care of. Being disabled I had to break the trip up into several stages. The morning of the last leg of the trip, which was the morning before the actual move in I received an email from Hireahelper to contact my mover to confirm arrangements. Thinking something may have changed I called the owner and explained I had received an email from Hireahelper to contact him. He once again confirmed we were good to go and he would see us in the morning at 11am. At 6:45 that evening my son received an email from the property mgr of the apt letting him know she had spoken to the owner of this moving company and he did not meet the COI requirements. I called Hireahelper to be told they would mark him as a no show, they did not have any movers that met the COI requirements that could fit me in for the next day at that time. They said they would refund my $ and basically left  me to figure it out on my own. At this point is is after 8pm and after calling numerous movers, only to get vm, I came to the conclusion that I would just get up in the AM and start the calling process over. This is where Chris stepped in......I called one last number. Within 5 mins I received a text from Chris, the owner of this bunch of hard working, honest guys. He asked me to send him the info for the apt and the COI requirements, which I sent immediately. Within another 5 mins I, my son and the property mgr all received an email from Chris with his COI info which was well above what was required. After fully explaining the situation, he told me he wanted to help, however he had another job at 1230 and would like to get there early to maybe start moving some of the smaller boxes in the regular elevators. He sd he would be there at 1045 and would be ready to go. His charge, even though I was in a very desperate situation was no more than the other companies. He did not try to take advantage or price gouge me, instead gave me a great price. The next morning I arrived at the apt at 1030. He was already there pointing me to the loading area. As it happened, the people before us had already finished, so I parked the truck, unlocked the door and Chris and his team went to work. They we're very meticulous with their management and handling of the boxes as to not break anything. With that in mind, he and his crew unloaded a fully packed 12ft truck, to the 18th floor in just under an hour. I paid him, gave him a tip for him and his guys for a cold one on me after work and he left. What I can say is Chris and his company literally saved the day for us. There would have been noway we could have gotten the truck unloaded, just no way. And to know he really could have charged me alot more, and I would have gladly paid it at that point no questions asked, he did not.Professional, honest, dependable, friendly, hard working and very caring to insure they treat you're belongings as they would their own is how I would describe them in a nutshell. Had a great experience with these guys! Very professional and polite, as well as efficient and gentle with my items. They helped us in a major pinch. Needed them in an emergency and they were able to accept our job, demonstrate insurance qualifications, and get to our apartment within 12 hours of initial contact, even when they had another job directly after ours. We had some pretty heavy stuff and they came with all their own moving materials and got us moved in within 30 minutes (we hired them for 1.5 hours).
