Jason and Amy have helped me so much with my rescue Wishbone. I needed some final work regarding my dogs mouthing when greeting people. They have given me some much appreciated techniques to improve this unwanted behavior in my American pitbull terrier. We still have some work to go to continue to shape his unwanted behavior but I honestly highly recommend them if you are struggling with anything. They know their stuff very well and their ability to come to your home is so nice. Words can’t describe how great it has been working with Amy and Jason. We have a 2 1/2 year old rescue pup with an unknown history and unknown breed who loves to run, doesn’t understand the concept of personal space, and is terrifyingly smart. We reached out primarily because she jumped so much whenever anyone new was over and pulled on walks. We learned so much more than what to do with new people and walks. The knowledge and guidance provided was unlike any other. We learned about why dogs do things, how they learn, how important it is to keep up with training, what to do with other dogs on walks, and so much more. I was LOST before I found The Homeschooled Pooch! We adopted Klondike, who is a 4 y/o Collie/Retriever mix that has energy likes nobody’s business. We decided to reach out for help because after adopting him we noticed he had some behaviors. The biggest behavior was him barking and lunging at any person or dog we would see on our walks. We scheduled 4 sessions with The Homeschooled Pooch and Klondike improved immensely! They gave us homework each week and a phenomenal follow up e-mail after each session explaining what we trained on that week! Not only was the e-mail detailed, but its also had videos! We still have a ways to go with Klondike, but I finally feel like I’m on the right track with the help from Amy and Jason! I also know that if I ever feel like I’m lost again, I can reach out and schedule more sessions! I’ve recommended them to EVERYONE I talk to. They are AMAZING!
