I walked in and was instantly greeted and attended to. I made a last minute appointment, Steven got me in the same day. The salon is really clean and it wasn't crowded or overbooked with clients. He made sure I was comfortable, he talked with me the entire time, and my entire experience was incredibly welcoming. I needed a trim and Steven made my hair look absolutely flawless! I have naturally curly hair. Went out in the heat and humidity and it did not revert back to being frizzy and big. 2 days later and my hair is still really soft, and bouncy. This is by far the best, most friendly and beautiful salon I have been in. From the moment I walked in to when I left, I was continuously impressed. I walked into the hair salon with damaged hair from well water. My mornings used to consist of aggrevation and sadness while I combed out knots. I started hating my hair. I was anticipating being scolded by such high end and talented stylists, but instead they were very positive, kind and optimistic about getting my hair healthy again. I first had a great consultation with Gina and did not feel rushed. The salon is very open, bright and colorful, and I felt very comfortable. I was also offered cofee and water coming in. I had a much needed Malibu and deep conditioning treatment. The heaters felt relaxing, not too hot and they didn't dry my eyes out like some others can. The sinks were also gentle and didn't leave my neck hurting the next day. Gina then gave me am amazing haircut and style. I have never seen my hair with such natural shine and beauty. I was in the salon weeks ago and it still feels amazing. The products that were used and the talent of Gina are unparalleled. I was blown away!! Even though I mainly worked with Gina, I still had a great time talking to Steven and his other stylists. Steven knows everything about Chicago and healthy living and was an absolute pleasure to talk to. Steven Deer is a great stylist and I loved the atmosphere at the salon. I think we've found a hair home and definitely a hair doctor. He highlighted my hair and trimmed my daughters short natural curly hair do to perfection. As we were walking to our car a runner passed by and told her, "Your hair is gorgeous!" and another person saw her and said, "Aw man your hair is raw!"Thanks Steven Deer! And, Merry Christmas.
