My husband and I met with Steven to do portraits for our anniversary. We also brought our 2 dogs along! Steven was amazing in every way!
His instructions for everything were clear and so easy to follow! He was so nice and we had awesome conversations the whole time. He made taking pictures fun and relaxing. We were at Vasona Park and we used so many of the parks features to take a ton of different photos. He was very professional, fun, and made the whole experience a pleasant one!
On top of that, we were only home for a few hours and he had already sent us a few photos to look at. And they are beautiful!
In less than 2 weeks we received the rest of our photos and they were amazing! There are so many I love that I had a hard time picking which ones to frame. He got so many wonderful photos of my husband and I and the dogs (and one is only 4 months old!) I also appreciated that because he made the session so fun and relaxed, he was able to capture so many real, candid moments. All of the pictures were stunning!

This is our third mini session with Steven Cotton Photography. Again, we are happy with the photos! We liked the venue Steven selected. He was very accommodating and professional throughout the mini session. He made posing for the photos very natural and light, which is greatly appreciated since we have a toddler who can be fussy and easily distracted. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I believe that a GREAT photograph is one that feels natural and captures your personality. For portrait sessions, I like to take the focus off of looking right into the camera and giving a forced expression to capturing natural and candid moments of you and your family interacting; for headshots, I like to keep the session conversational and lighthearted; and for wedding photography I like to capture your wedding day unobtrusively while focusing on capturing organic moments.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
When working with new clients, I like to provide them with as much information up front - so that they know exactly what their session entails. In between booking the session and meeting to take pictures, I have clients fill out a brief questionnaire that provides me with a little information on their past experiences taking pictures; some information on their family; and a bunch of other details that will help me to get to know them a little better :)
What do you love most about your job?
I love being a Photographer because I get to be a part of fun, positive, and often times inspiring moments in people's lives. I love seeing the connections and commonalities between clients with very diverse backgrounds. I also LOVE working for myself and I take a lot of pride in what I do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My journey on becoming a professional Photographer began when my wife got me a camera for an anniversary gift. I didn't know anything about photography and frankly did not even want a camera! I quickly became obsessed with it and started doing it as a hobby; eventually built up the confidence to do it part-time; and in 2016 I took a leap of faith to jump into it full-time! At this time of my life, I was working another full-time job that I did not enjoy and this motivated me to pursue what I REALLY enjoyed doing. And this was one of the best decisions I have ever made :)

Wedding Photography - Elopement - $500
Your ELOPEMENT wedding package will include 90 minutes of wedding photography; at least 150 high resolution edited images delivered via an online gallery; and a print release statement which grants permission to make prints and to post your images online. Images are typically delivered in 5-7 business days after your wedding day.
Silver Wedding Photography Package - 6 Hours - $2,400
Your SILVER wedding package will include 6 hours of wedding photography; An Associate Photographer for 4 hours; at least 800 high resolution edited images delivered via an online gallery; and a print release statement which grants permission to make prints and to post your images online. Images are typically delivered in 2-4 weeks after your wedding day.
Gold Wedding Photography Package - 8 Hours - $3,200
Your GOLD wedding package will include 8 hours of wedding photography; An Associate Photographer for 6 hours; at least 800 high resolution edited images delivered via an online gallery; and a print release statement which grants permission to make prints and to post your images online. Images are typically delivered in 2-4 weeks after your wedding day.
Platinum Wedding Photography Package - 10 Hours - $4,000
Your PLATINUM wedding package will include 10 hours of wedding photography; a complimentary engagement session; An Associate Photographer for 8 hours; at least 800 high resolution edited images delivered via an online gallery; and a print release statement which grants permission to make prints and to post your images online. Images are typically delivered in 2-4 weeks after your wedding day.
Engagement Portraits - 2 Hours - $400
Your ENGAGEMENT portrait session will last up to 2 hours and you will receive at least 50 edited high resolution images delivered via an online gallery; a print release statement which grants you permission to post your images online, make prints, etc.; images delivered in 5-7 business days after your session
Portraits (Family | Senior Portraits | Newborns | Maternity) - 60 Minutes - $300
Your portrait session will last 60 minutes and you will receive at least 50 high resolution edited images delivered via an online gallery; a print release statement which grants you permission to post your images online, make prints, etc.; images delivered in 5-7 business days after your session.

Portrait Mini Session (Family | Senior Portraits | Newborns | Maternity) - 30 Minutes - $200
