Can't say enough good about Sit Means Sit (Copley location) and every trainer who helped us with our dog. Zach, Taylor, and Colleen were amazing with Harvey and very patient with us! They were incredibly quick to respond when we needed help throughout the week and their suggestions were spot on. We would highly recommend this location and training method to anyone wanting a gentle but firm training method for their furry family member. Our trainer Colleen was great-she taught Bailey, our 6 month Bernedoodle, how to be a well-behaved boy, but most of all she trained us how to do the same. We are continuing to work with Bailey in our everyday routines at home and he is doing great! We plan on continuing with group classes in the future. John and Denise VaravvasCanton, Ohio More...

We took our almost-two-year-old Boxer mix Willow for a one-week "boot camp" where she was boarded and trained for that week. What an amazing result! Willow is so much calmer and at ease and is working with the commands and the collar (more of a TENS unit, NOT a shock collar!) and listening to not only my husband and me, but our five- and six-year-old daughters! She was always a sweetheart but now she is much calmer; it's like the training relieved her of her anxiety of not knowing what to do with herself! I just picked up my beagle mix on Saturday after a week of training and oh my gosh is there a difference! He is such a good boy now! We had issues with separation anxiety, not coming when called, and not stopping when asked (things like playing too rough or running after a squirrel in another yard.) He now comes when called, stops when asked, and does not cry if we leave the room. He also wants at the door like a gentleman when we go outside to play. Before he would just try to squeeze out the door and run off as fast as he could. I do not have enough words to thank Sit Means Sit. There is a photography business run from my home and people are always in and out, and we feared we would lose my dog if the door was open and he had a split second to try to go outside. Now we feel safer and things are peaceful! He is still his spunky self, just a more polite version! More...

I was skepticle honestly about seeing improvement and not because of the ability of the trainers but I guess I doubted my dogs ability to be what I feel is obedient. I am happy to report that from the second we saw him on his graduation day I noticed right away that there had been positive change. It's been 2 weeks and he has been getting better the more we work with him. He have had 1 at home sessions which was more than helpful, we got to see with the training the exact reaction we needed too in order to change his behavior.I can not say enough good things. Really great trainers, great facility and great follow up. Not a cut rate business. It is expensive, however you cant put a price on training for both dog and owner. I know I needed the work and they did not make me or my wife feel stupid in any way.If you are considering doing this go ahead, be realistic in what you expect and do all the follow up work. Sit means Sit is an awesome dog training program. Every person that we have dealt with at the facility has been professional, nice, friendly and knowledgeable. I read the review below from "MK" - not really sure what they are talking about - seems like a made up review. Every person I have spoken to that has had their dog there, loves the program and has done wonders for the dog and their pet's training. In two words "it works."

We did the 10-day "boot camp" last summer because our labradoodle was nipping people coming over to the house as well as not "coming" when he was called. We had previously purchased a "Sport Dog" collar, but never used it. We used this collar for boot camp and still do. It's a gentle "reminder" to our dog on what he learned.

My dog is very obedient now and it's been 9 months! Amazing. Love the program and the trainers. I can't say enough. If you want an honest review, come to a Saturday morning group class and ask any one of the participants what they think. Trust me, you'll walk away wanting to bring your pet in for training.

WOW! First, I’d like to describe the situation I was dealing with before I contacted Sit Means Sit. My dog (Meeka), about 6 years old, had severe behavioral issues. We had tried in home training before, I would put her on our treadmill every day for 30+ mins, we tried automatic bark collars and manual electric collars. She was on 6 different medicines in the last year to control her behavior/anxiety. The past few months, Meeka has gotten progressively worse, especially with my 3 year old. She actually bit her and I scheduled to have her put down. The night before, my husband wanted to give a board and train program a chance. That’s when I contacted Sit Means Sit and we did the 10 day board and train program. She’s so much calmer now, way easier to control, and actually listens to us. Our home is peaceful and we can have visitors over without anxiety. We will still continue to work with her every day, but the improvement I’ve seen is beyond what I ever thought would happen. Q&As

I learned about Sit Means Sit dog training while I was living in Denver, Colorado. I was looking for a dog trainer and was referred to Sit Means Sit by a man I met in a dog park. I was so impressed with the free demonstration they showed me. As amazing as it was, I was unsure that they would be able to get my dog under control.

My Australian Cattle dog had a ton of energy and he liked to run! He never came when I called him and would jump on people, grab food off the table and had numerous other bad habits. The trainer did a demonstration with my dog and within a few minutes had my dog totally under control and making eye contact with him. I immediately signed up for the training. Within three weeks of training, I had off leash control of my dog and he listened to me even around distractions. When I saw the results, I knew this company was something special.

Since I graduated from The Sit Means Sit School of remote collar dog training in November of 2007 I have worked with thousands of dogs and have continued educating myself and following my passion to be one the best dog trainers I can be.

Here is a list of some of my training accomplishments:
