Masha's done it again! Her beautiful cake is not only pretty to look at, but the mousse is super light and delicious. It's not overly sweet as you would imagine most cakes to be. HANDS DOWN, BEST CAKES AROUND. Â PERIOD.I can't even begin to express how phenomenal these cakes taste. Â The artfully crafted textures share the spotlight with each cake's daring and seductive flavors. Â Together they dance on the palette before coming together at the end of each bite with a silken, airy lightness that leaves you wanting for more. Â Marina, the charismatic cake boss who runs the shop and bakes these masterpieces, has a true gift. Â There's a reason she named her shop Silky Cakes Seattle and you will only understand once experience it for yourself. Â Brava, Marina! Â Brava!ALL my friends and family are converts like myself. Â Marina's shop is WAY underrated and this review is far too overdue. Â I've ordered three cakes from Marina for three birthdays in my family which include my own and we just don't ever see ourselves going anywhere else. Â This joint is locally owned, mind-blowingly delicious, and both the service and product are exceptional. Â And to top it all off - the price - incredibly fair. To the point of almost too fair for her customers because you are getting gold for what you pay. Â The fact that she also offers the best smoked meats in the other half of her storefront is both unique and a major bonus - don't even get me started on the deli side of her business because those meats... they're...WOW! A little germ in Renton area hiding inside the DK market. If you like mousse cake, this is the place to go. I ordered two cakes so far. The cakes are SO delicious and AMAZING!!! Everyone at the  party loves it. The owner is so helpful and so talented. She even take my orders only two days in advance. Beautiful and delicious cake that I ordered for my birthday! Highly recommend to match the cake with Macaroons because Marina makes such a yummy macaroons. I was interested in buying a cake for a group of 8. There is not much information on the company's Facebook page or Yelp about what type of cakes you can buy or the cost but they are pretty on the site. The photo of the menu on Yelp is cut off so you can't read it. So I thought I'd drive there to get more information. The woman who works there wasn't too welcoming, just told me she only does cake on order with at least a week notice. She was abrupt and unsmiling so I didn't ask any more questions and walked out. I found this place literally a day before my sisters birthday and placed an order with my brother, I didn't think much of it as my expectations were low because it was very last minute. But after some back and fourth we got the cake, right on time just before our small family celebration. Not only is the owner timely, professional, and kind she was able to explain the flavors and the menu of the cakes very nicely. She even sent photos of what the cake would look like with different flavors and colors! Although rushed on our side she was even able to meet at a local store nearby to her for me to pick up the cake!
