Shawn was a life saver, and agreed to shoot our event for Women+ Build at Switchyard Brewery on short notice. He knew I was new in my role in coordinating the photographers, and jumped in and took great shots both action and groups with very little direction. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Focusing on the perspective and the emotion that you're trying to capture. What is the story you're trying to tell when you frame it, light it, zoom in or out on it?
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you want out of your photos? Are you looking for something that you will share on your social media pages? Are you wanting prints? What is the tone of what you want with your project? How do I make you comfortable in front of the camera?
What do you love most about your job?
I can't draw. I can't sing or play an instrument. Photography and media production is one of the only artistic outlets I have. I love the form of communication that photography is.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I want more control over my life. I think having a marketable skill and being confident in starting and running a business are both challenging and rewarding.

I will listen to you and work with you to get what you want. I have the technical background in addition to the empathy and communication skills to achieve your vision. My focus is to bring out the best thing about the moment I'm capturing.

I focus on 3 types of photography: Wedding/Special event, Commercial, and Portrait. I am capable in all other forms of photography as well.
