I was lost and angry after learning of my husband's multiple infidelities over our 35 years of marriage. My whole world was turned upside down and didn't know if our relationship could survive. After doing a lot of research, I found Sarah and had my husband schedule an appointment for a three hour intensive session. Sarah gave us honest and heartfelt feedback. She also gave us examples and drew from her personal experiences which really helped us relate to the information she was sharing. The session brought us to a deeper understanding of motives for the past affairs and she gave us tools to hopefully prevent this from happening in the future. We are both extremely hopeful that not only will our decades long marriage survive, but may become better than ever. Thanks, Sarah, from the bottom of our hearts. More...

Sarah is the reality check you're looking for! I was extremely worried I was risking my marriage and my life on Sarah. I really needed a home run. Sarah cued up the pitch. And my swing sent it flying into the upper deck. You will find Sarah remembers everything. She connects the dots. She is engaged. I was amazed at how interactive she was in my process. She met with me and my wife and she helped me out of a hole I had been digging for too long. You have to be open to showing your cards. Sarah knows when your hiding behind your lies. She encouraged me to reconnect with my kind side and helped me make connections I had lost with my family. She won't disappoint. She's compassionate, commited, and loving. More...

I have been seeing Sarah on and off for the past two years and recently, on a more regular basis. Sarah is always willing to work with you and around your schedule and provides honest and genuine feedback. I have seen a handful of other therapists in San Diego but none have given me practical tips and exercises to work on in between sessions as Sarah has. She has helped me with a number of situations I have found difficult to sort out on my own, with patience and compassion. She is easy to open up to and helps you work through your own thoughts in a kind and non-judgmental way. Her advice is helping me gain a better understanding of myself my behaviors. Teamed with practical tips on how to change these behaviors I am becoming a more solid and confident person. I would highly recommend Sarah if you are looking to improve yourself and/or your relationships. More...

Sarah has helped me a lot with many areas of my life. I originally went to her for marriage counseling with my husband back then. I was hesitant and he wanted us to try it out. However, he blindsided me and he decided to go through with the divorce. I was devastated. When I told Sarah what happened, she shifted to counsel me individually. Sarah was there to guide me through the hardships of divorce and helped me through my depression and anxiety. When I felt like I was fine without seeing her regularly, she was supportive with the decision and said she'll be there when I needed her. She has kept her word. She's has been there for me even if I haven't seen here in years. All I need to do is contact her and she's there for me.I'm happily married now. If my husband and I are going through difficulties that we cannot solve by ourselves, we contact her and she's there to help us.I recommend her to anyone who need guidance in there relationship, whether it is doing it as a couple or as an individual. I can't say that my relationship is perfect; but I can say that it wouldn't exist without Sarah's help. Not only did she help my partner and me to overcome our communication issues, but she helped me develop the self-awareness and self-esteem required to communicate with myself. In turn, this gave me the confidence necessary to develop a number of other skills. For the first time ever, I'm cooking 3 nights a week, working out 5 days a week, and just got a big promotion at work. I am more successful in every aspect than I have ever been. For a long time, I had a fear of being alone, and that fear drove me to sabotage my relationships. However, now, my relationship flourishes, because I know that, even if it fails, I'll be okay. Aside from the fact that I've developed the skills and attributes of a highly desirable boyfriend, I've learned to love myself. Solitude is no longer a fear of mine, but an important part of my day. I really couldn't have done any of this without Sarah. Whether you're struggling to get by, in a difficult relationship, or doing well but striving to maximize productivity and potential, I can't recommend Sarah highly enough! More...

Sarah was very helpful in giving my husband and I effective tools to communicate and put strategies in place to mange conflict. We initially sought counseling several years ago and continue to receive on a maintenance basis. Sarah helped us identify what we wanted in our relationship. She says it's important to state what you need from one another. We are still doing well. Again, I highly recommend Sarah for Marriage Counseling as she is direct and gives you what you need to move forward. She is an excellent couples counselor and I highly recommend her services. Sarah is simply amazing. After 30 years our marriage had become sad and acrimonious. Did a long search to find Sarah and it was worth it. Sarah has unusual insight and amazing ability. She carefully stepped us through the minefields (sic) helping us grow in ways we have never experienced, individually, then as a couple. Not always easy but very rewarding. Those of you lucky enough to choose her, welcome to your new life. Thanks Sarah. More...

If you are looking into couples counseling, you want the best. When I was looking for the right counselor to help me mend things in my relationship, I was shocked by all of Sarah's 5-star reviews. So I chose her. I was hoping doing this would help me get my girl back. After our first session, I realized Sarah is not here to make your wish come true just because you pay her. She is here to help you figure out the deep-rooted issues in your relationship and how to work through it (if you choose to stay together.) My goal going in was to win her back but after our first session, my goal was to figure things out and make her happy whether it was with me or not in the end. After several sessions, including one-on-ones, she decided to give me a chance. This would not have happened without Sarah's guidance. I am now a better person and boyfriend in a much better relationship. If you are looking for a couples counselor, you want Sarah. More...

A client that finished therapy with me last year reports their marriage was saved due to the continual work we did together in counseling. They were on the verge of divorce as his wife stated she felt she was not "in love" with him any longer but still felt she cared for him. They had a 4 year old at the time and he was distraught and discouraged. He followed through with the recommendations of counseling and acquired the tools needed to work through their challenges. With his commitment to the process and his supportiveness toward his wife's feelings they reconciled and are better able to express their feelings, as well as ask for what they want and need from one another. They are expecting their 2nd child in a few months and are very appreciative of receiving the help I was able to provide them.I have been working with couples for over 20 years and I continue to feel confident that my innovative practices are effective in bringing families the results they want. In doing so I receive the validation warranted to continue to provide these types of services to people who want to move forward in dynamic ways. More...

Thank you Sarah for your help! You care about your patients big and small!! When my daughter (5 years old) was experiencing some bullying at school your immediate return phone call was comforting. Working with you I was able to communicate with the school exactly what was happening in her life, not eating, not sleeping, not wanting to go back to school and provide them with a plan of action (your plan of action) to address her trauma. After a week of my own attempts of getting them to take action over the incident (and nothing happening) I was desperate to find help. You really helped our family! Your wise words and specifically detailed plan of action helped me realize that my daughter was a victim and that even though I thought she needed counseling to help her get over it, the truth was the bullying children needed to be confronted by the school counselors and their parents so they would take ownership of their part in the bullying. I was amazed at how once that happened my daughters "trauma symptoms" diminished as she was no longer believing something was wrong with her. Your plan of action helped to heal the relationship between the children and probably diverted future bullying incidents.Thank you again. More...
