This salon is fabulous. I was referred to Lisa and have been so happy ever since my first appointment. My cut, color and highlights always look fabulous. I constantly get compliments on my hair and it is all due to Lisa and the way she is intuitively knows what to do. Also, I usually am coming to my appointment from work and sometimes run late. I visited the salon on 12/3/16 and could not have been happier. I've been searching for a stylist for 2yrs and I finally found a brilliant one. Kari was on time, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. She heard my needs and went a step further to ask me questions about my lifestyle and then educate me on how and why she planned to cut and style as she did. I haven't had a haircut I liked this much in years. Also, when I first contacted the salon for an appointment it was at a very busy time. Lisa was phenomenal in getting back to me ASAP and referring stylists to me who were also extremely prompt in getting back to me. If you are looking for a personable hair stylist who is highly skilled, look no further.  Shelly Marasco is fabulous!  She understands that hair styles are transient, so she knows how to make you look good each visit, but also how to try different styles/colors to match your life style and interest.  My experience with stylists is that they find one color and one style and then they just repeat the same each time.   Which is fine if that's what you want.  But I like to "change-it-up" to keep life exciting and fresh and Shelly is honest and stylish and can just go with the flow.  I'm lucky to have found her! My short hair is very hard to cut well because of so many weird cowlicks, so I need someone who is very skilled. I read lots of reviews of lots of hairdressers and I decided to try Lisa. We chatted about my weird hair and the look I'm going for. She didn't ask me to show her pictures (an amateur move, in my book), she just got to work. And I'm really, really happy with the result. Moving to the Bay Area, I was really hesitant to get a new hair stylist because I loved going to my old one so much. After searching and reading reviews for weeks, I finally decided to book an appointment at Salon Lisa Lisa. I have to say, I was blown away by the lovely intimate atmosphere and by the service. Lisa, had the opportunity to fix my awful into a color correction. And dare I say it turned out beautifully. With lots of patience, Lisa delicately fixed all my color unevenness and it was worth all the time. I have never received such a great turn out for highlights. And the best part about it was she used a special technique to cut my curly hair, called the Twist. I have been going to and sending friends to Shelly for many years.  She is an expert at coloring - she REALLY knows her color products and color processes!   I even sent my college age daughter for the latest college highlights and she did a phenomenal job!  Even though I've gone for years, I never feel like I get the "same old style or coloring." I love Salon Lisa Lisa! I've only been one time (so far), but Lisa did a beautiful job on my hair. The blonde highlights she gave me look very pretty and natural, and the cut is great. Lisa is really sweet, and even invited me to bring my tiny little dog with me to my appointment (she knew about him because he was with me when I walked in to inquire about their services). I never would have considered bringing my dog to a hair appointment, but upon her suggestion, I brought him, and it was fun having him there, with all the ladies doting on him the whole time.I also want to say how charming the space is. I highly recommend Lisa Lisa salon. Lisa is a skilled colorist and stylist and very easy to work with. She is flexible, her salon is in a small victorian in downtown los altos so very comfortable and she never overbooks or has you wait. My hair is difficult, think and yet needs color so not an easy client and I love going to her and her salon. Her salon is intimate and not loud and crazy like most salons. Salon Lisa Lisa is a quiet, clean relaxing place. Lisa Saeger, the salon's owner, reversed my long-time trend of switching stylists every 6-18 months. I've been with Lisa for about ten years and have morphed seamlessly in and out of various hairstyles over those years. I love the way she does my highlights, and she has a great feel for what my hair type can and can't do, in terms of haircuts. I have been going to Shelley at Lisa Lisa for over two years. I like her work with my hair so much that my husband now goes to Shelley as well as a few of my friends. I have fine hair, and Shelley has always styled my hair really well--better than anyone else I have been to. When I started coming to her, my color was almost a "peanut butter" shade, which completely washed-out my complexion. She changed that immediately! Margot has been doing my cuts & colour for most of the past 12 years. Having tried other colourists and stylists I keep coming back to Margot because she just does an excellent job! I'm always happy w my hair, and I'm happy to let her professional opinion and keen eye take the lead after I describe my basic wishes. I went to this salon for the first time June 2nd, 2012.  I'm not someone who gets haircuts often, but I had been going to the same salon for 7 years before moving too far away to make it worth the trek.  I wanted a short cut with layered bangs.  I'm pretty easy going when it comes to hair, but, I was still nervous seeing someone new.My stylist was Lisa, the owner.  It was just me and one other client getting highlights at the time, so I can not confirm what it is like there when it's super busy.  That said I was really pleased with the cut and attention that Lisa gave me.  Knowing I'm not one able to put a lot of time into styling my hair, she gave me hands on training regarding an easy way to blow dry with a round brush.  I feel confident enough to do this on my own at home, and it really takes less than five minutes.  Plus, the cut is cute enough without a blow dry as well.  The bangs and layers were right on the money.Overall I highly recommend this salon.  I like the cute atmosphere inside, and the personalized service.  I will definitely return for my next cut, maybe even try some color next time! I work in Los Altos and got fed up driving to Palo Alto to get my hair done...my daughter has been getting her hair colored with Tara at Lisa Lisa so I decided to give her a try too. ...I couldn't be happier - my color lasts so much longer than when I do it myself, and the cut is wonderful every time. Tara is happy to show me what kind of brushes I should be using, how to flat iron correctly, etc. A nice bonus is that Tara's prices are much more competitive than my previous stylist, so I now have my hubby and my son going to her for their cuts too.  It's also great to be able to text her to make appointments and have them confirmed via text.
