I couldn't have been happier with Aran's DJ services! A mutual acquaintance put us in touch when I asked if he knew a DJ I could use for a special fundraising event for the non-profit that I chair in Alexandria, VA. I reached out to Aran and he responded immediately and was very willing to travel to VA for our event and line up a great song list for our 70's dance party. I would recommend DJ Aran with utmost regard. He was professional, affordable, and absolutely whatever we wanted (which was hands-off, both my hubby and I were planning our wedding extremely remotely; we knew that we wanted a PARTY, but also we didn't have the time to be granular with playlist selection.) We are both in our early twenties, but wanted a music service to accommodate all. We had DJ Aran for our Bel Air, MD wedding and he was nothing short of STELLAR!!! We had a broad age demographic to our guests, he was absolutely fantastic, and he accommodated all!! Even now, after our July 2017 wedding, guests continuously comment on the amount of dancing DJ Aran facilitated. We had a huge wedding, ~200 guests, and DJ Aran kept the party going all night long. Aran from Ridiculous entertainment was an amazing DJ for our wedding from beginning to end. He was everything we had hoped for and more. From the very beginning Aran made us comfortable during our email exchanges and phone calls. He took time to get to know our likes and dislikes of music and gave his expert input about where things would work. We could tell he spent a lot of time thinking about the set and how the music would work with our ceremony and our interests. When we sent updates of songs up until the wedding day he was open to adding things in and changing things when needed. We hired Aran to DJ our wedding this past June. Aran was a great MC and corralled the crowd when needed. Although our venue was unconventional, Aran was able to accommodate the special circumstances. He allowed us to custom our playlists and party cues to create the atmosphere we wanted. Aran is seriously one of a kind! There are not enough words to describe how
incredible Aran was throughout the process and the night of our wedding! I
was so nervous about booking a DJ because I wanted someone who I could
connect with. I don't know what it was about Aran but from the moment we
first emailed I knew he was the DJ for us and he DID NOT disappoint! I am a
huge music lover and had such high expectations. I am Latino and wanted an
array of music and he made it happen. He was super affordable and so willing
to go above and beyond for my partner and me. He went and checked out our
venue to make sure our lighting choices and monogram would hook up fine and
always made himself available. I didn't want a DJ that was going to make the
reception about them and Aran did just the opposite. From the very first
phone call, he made it clear that he was there to make our day as amazing as
it could be. He kept the dance floor packed all night. Everyone loved the
music and he did what I wanted most, which was for him to throw a party! I
never needed to tell him what to do. He's so good at what he does and he
communicated with the rest of our vendors to makes sure the night went

Aran was completely amazing. Flexible, NOT corny, easy to work with, INCREDIBLY responsive - just a total pro. We were really lucky to book him too - he had someone asking for our date like a day after we had signed the contract, Whew! I am so glad we did because he helped make out wedding a total success, even after a thunderstorm loomed ahead. He also helped out quite a bit with timeline and figuring out what we needed months in advance so we weren't going crazy up until the wedding (who knew you could care about what music played during dinner or cake cutting? Aran at Ridiculous Entertainment was amazing! I was a little anxious about providing quality entertainment that would get people moving since I had an older crowd at my wedding. He is definitely great at reading the crowd and getting people on the dance floor! He also provided ceremony music, cocktail hour music, as well as the reception music. He had 3 complicated setups and was like a ninja with how quickly he got from place to place. The music was distinct for all three areas, and it set the mood. He also did a fantastic job as the emcee, keeping the flow going, and noticing when parts of the wedding needed to be moved up (cake cutting) when dinner ran late. Aran (aka DJ Ridiculous) did an AMAZING job as our DJ for our wedding! He was not corny (which was very important to us) but still effectively managed the night and kept everything flowing. He was responsive to all of our requests and music choices and had everyone partying all night! Even when guests threw in a few curve-balls (like an impromptu Beatles serenade from the father of the bride or a group performance of the "Star Spangled Banner"), Aran made it happen seamlessly. He is so fun and has such great taste in music! He read the crowd - he was able to work in a wide variety of songs from Earth, Wind, and Fire to swing music to 90s to the Pina Colada song and not lose the energy of the room! Aran (aka Ridiculous DJ) was perfect for us. I saw him DJ at a wedding I attended and got his contact info. He worked with us on pricing (finding a package that worked within our budget) and was very high-value for the price. The thing we loved about him when we saw him at the earlier wedding was his personality... Fun, but not intrusive. I hate when DJ's try to be the center of attention. He doesn't do that. He gets the party going, makes appropriate announcements ("don't forget to sign the communal marriage license inside!!"), and kept the day running smoothly without being annoying. He met with us once and communicated regularly by email. He offered to be more available, but we didn't really need it. He took great notes at our meeting and even our day-of-wedding planner was impressed by his minute-by-minute schedule and details. He played the perfect music at the wedding and actually DJed! He had a mixer and was spinning records, not just pressing play on his laptop. It was very cool. My friends and family are dancers, but the wrong DJ would have made the party fall flat. Aran DJ'd our wedding in September in 2013. He was able to meet face-to-face with us to help plan the program for the wedding weeks in advance of the ceremony. Aran easily collaborated with our officiant, photographer, and on-site coordinator in planning the details of our ceremony and reception.

Aran was the DJ at our wedding just a few weeks ago and I don't think there are enough words to convey how great he was. From planning to execution, Aran was the nicest and most professional vendor (especially DJ) we have met. The week of our wedding, I had a family emergency that ended up postponing our original wedding 4 months out to September. Aran was so understanding and the reschedule was no problem.

He made planning music very easy and fun to do. He will work with you every step of the way. He was great about customizing our music, it was very eclectic and he did a great job making it all flow seamlessly. We had a multi-cultural wedding (America/Indian). He did a fantastic job incorporating classical and modern Indian music into the wedding. He was very knowledgeable about Carnatic and Bhangra music - I was very impressed.

He's a fun MC as well - not cheesy at all, it felt like he wasn't just a DJ but a part of our crew. People didn't even realize he was a DJ, they thought he was a friend. He was cool with making announcements and introductions. As well as on the spot changes. He went over the reception entrances and double/tripled checked everyone's names.

So glad that we came across Aran! We heard more compliments on our DJ that night and still do. Aran was our DJ during our wedding on August the 25th, and I have only one thing to say... He was AWESOME!!!! Not only a great professional (the greatest of the people we hired), he was also a fantastic DJ! Helpful, available, prompt replies to emails, cheerful, we have the feeling that he was a great help in making this celebration even more special. He was there during the whole process when needed, helping us in the preparation of the ceremony and reception. He totally understood what we wanted and made it even better. The whole thing was a fantastic travel through music and music history that culminated in a fantastic reception where he got everybody to dance. He was able to go through a bunch of different styles as we asked him (rock, jazz, blues, classical music, crooners, a little bit of hip-hop, etc...), took our requests, and added songs that we didn't even think about but that were exactly what we wanted.
We had a intercultural wedding (French groom, American bride), and he was able to accommodate requests, incorporate smoothly French songs (and was even able to add some that we didn't talk to him about, kudos!). He found a way to make it sound really natural. People weren't even realizing that they were dancing on songs they probably never heard before.
During our wedding, our officiant and caterer were late, but thanks to Aran, we were able to keep our general schedule without to much trouble. Thanks Aran, we couldn't have found a better DJ!
In the end, we would strongly recommend him to our friends if they were looking for a DJ. And if we ever need a DJ again, he will be the one that we will call!
