After connecting with Rachel, she was immediately extremely helpful in making sure we found a great destination for the shoot, and also in suggesting the right outfit options for us. What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Photography is not just a job for me; it's my passion. My love for photography is reflected in my work, resulting in photographs that are vibrant, emotive, and full of life.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I'll likely ask about the purpose of the shoot (event, family portraits, headshots, etc.), timing, preferred location(s), specific must-have shots or images you'd like me to capture, budget, and any other expectations for the project.
What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing the transformation from when we start the shoot to the end. At first, most people are shy, uncomfortable, and awkward in front of the camera - no one really enjoys getting their picture taken! By the time we're done, my subjects are relaxed, comfortable, and confident - their true personality shining through in the photos.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have a passion for photography, and starting my own business allowed me to turn my passion into a profession. I love telling stories through the lens and being creative really drives me. I like the flexibility and autonomy of running my own business, pursuing my own goals, and choosing the projects I want to work.
