Q&As

There are many factors that can contribute to taking a great photograph, but one of the most important secrets is to have a clear understanding of the basic principles of photography. I have spent years learning and practicing this craft. Here are a few things that go into planning a perfect session.

Composition: The way I arrange the elements within my frame can make or break a photograph. A strong composition will guide the viewer's eye and create a sense of balance, while a weak composition can be distracting and confusing.

Lighting: The quality and direction of light can dramatically affect the mood and atmosphere of your photograph. Understanding how to use natural and artificial light is an advantage I have that is essential for creating dynamic and visually interesting images.

Timing: Capturing a moment at just the right time can turn an ordinary image into something truly special. This requires anticipation, patience, and a willingness to take risks and experiment with different approaches.

Ultimately, the secret to taking a great photograph is to practice and experiment with these elements until I find my own unique style and approach. And always remember, the best photos are often the ones that capture a genuine emotion or moment in time, so don't be afraid to let my creativity and intuition guide our session!

What is the purpose of the photography session? Are you looking for portraits, event coverage, product photography, or something else?

What is the theme or style you are looking for in your photos? Are you looking for something traditional, candid, or creative? Do you have any specific ideas or inspirations you would like to incorporate into your photos?

Who are the people or subjects that will be included in the photos? How many people will be present, and what are their ages? Are there any special considerations or accommodations that need to be made for any of the subjects (for example, individuals with disabilities or special needs)?

What is the location for the photography session? Are there any specific requirements or restrictions at the location (for example, permit requirements, specific hours of operation, or noise restrictions)?

What is your budget for the photography session? This will help you understand what types of services the client is looking for and whether any special accommodations need to be made.

What is the timeline for the photography session? This will help you understand how much time you have to prepare for the shoot and how much time you have to edit and deliver the final photos to the client.

Are there any special requests or needs that you would like to discuss before the photography session? This could include things like wardrobe suggestions, props, or any other details that will help you capture the best possible photos for the client.

Some things I love most about photography:

Capturing memories: Photography allows me to capture and preserve special moments and memories in a visual way, creating a permanent record that can be revisited and shared with others.

Creative expression: Photography is a powerful means of creative expression, allowing me to use light, composition, and other elements to convey a unique perspective or tell a visual story.

Exploration and discovery: Photography can take me to new places and allow me to discover beauty and interesting subjects in the world around.

Technical challenge: Photography can be a technically challenging pursuit, with a range of equipment, settings, and techniques to master, making it a rewarding and satisfying profession.

Personal growth: Pursuing photography can also be a way to foster personal growth and development, challenging me to push my limits, explore new ideas, and express myself in new and exciting ways.

Experience and expertise: I am a seasoned photographer with a wealth of experience working in different environments and with various clients. I can deliver high-quality images that meet your needs.

Creativity and vision: I will have a unique and creative eye, able to see and capture moments in ways that others might not.

Strong communication and collaboration skills: I am a photographer who is able to listen to your needs, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively to achieve the results you're looking for.

Professionalism and reliability: I always show up early to be prepared for any situation and will conduct myself professionally throughout the shoot.

Flexibility and adaptability: I am able to adapt to changing circumstances, whether it's weather, lighting, or other factors that may impact the shoot.

Services

I offer three unique wedding packages that can be customized to suit your requirements. The Platinum and Gold packages already include bridal and/or engagement services.

As a proud parent of seven successfully grown children, I know how to connect with high school and young adults like no other! I'm genuinely interested in learning about their hobbies, whether it's sports, cars, animals, or reading, and incorporating them into your photo shoots. I'm always eager to go the extra mile and travel to your favorite locations to capture your special moments. Moreover, I adore documenting your senior year, and I do it in style! My approach involves multiple shoots that begin in the fall and wrap up in the spring, culminating in spectacular graduation photos that you'll treasure for a lifetime.
