Why should our clients choose you?
I use force-free, reward-based training methods that set dogs up for success and help clients with a variety of training needs, including new puppy support and basic manners training, as well as those dealing with more challenging issues, such as fear and aggression. I believe effective training builds communication between dogs and their humans, and I aim to keep dogs safe in their world and well-integrated in their homes. I don't try to create Stepford (“perfect”) dogs, but happy and safe companions. I do not believe in using choke or prong collars, e-collars, or other common training tools that create fear or pain. I do believe in front-attach harnesses, flat collars, patience, and humor.

The first session is online. Subsequent sessions are generally in person, however can be online if requested.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I am currently holding sessions outdoors or via Zoom unless there is a training-related reason to meet indoors. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status—both indoors and outdoors.
New Puppy Training Packages
Get your new family member off to a great start by booking one of our puppy training packages! Pre-puppy consultations help you hit the puppy-parent ground running by teaching you how to prepare for those all important first days. Puppy training sessions focus on foundational skills and socialization during the important 8 to 16-week development period. All of our puppy sessions include personalized training plans and special bonus material “Five Tips to Raise an Emotionally Robust Puppy.” Multiple-session packages also include e-mail support between sessions. Training sessions last approximately 60 minutes and can be held at your home or online via Zoom.
Pre-puppy consultation (90 minutes): $125
Single private puppy training session: $100
Package of 4 private puppy training sessions: $375
Adolescent and Adult Training Packages
These sessions focus on the basic skills your dog needs to be safe, happy, and polite, both in your home and out in the world. Pre-adoption consultation covers important aspects of a successful rehoming, such as decompression time, dog/cat integration, building trust, and early management. Training sessions focus on your most important issues. Whether you want your dog to politely greet people without jumping, come when called, or learn to “High five,” sessions will focus on your specific priorities. All sessions are approximately 60 minutes long and include personalized training plans. Multiple-session packages also include e-mail support between sessions. First sessions are held via Zoom. Subsequent sessions can be in your home, at a mutually agreed-upon location, or via Zoom.

Behavior Modification and Training Packages
These sessions focus on solving common yet challenging behavior issues, including separation distress, destructiveness, reactivity, and aggression. Behavior modification combines environmental management, stress and anxiety reduction, and training. Sessions focus on your most important issues, and behavior plans will be developed for your dog’s needs and unique living circumstances. All sessions are approximately 60 minutes long and include personalized behavior modification plans. Multiple-session packages also include e-mail support between sessions. First sessions are held via Zoom. Subsequent sessions can be in your home, at a mutually agreed-upon location, or via Zoom.
