I was so relieved to have found Sara. In the midst of complicated times and health issues, it was a big win. Until trying to schedule a second appointment. It seems as though the company is just not set up properly, really. I live in Manhattan, and if you are taking clients from here, you work in Your Overhead costs to include parking or whatever. But she informed me that she’d be charging me for garage parking (usually 30+). After some back and forth, where I actually ended up agreeing to pay, she said she’s not grooming in my area anymore. The best service ever!  I have a physical disability, so going out and taking my dog ​​to the grooming center or vet can be a bit challenging for me.  Fortunately, I found this place that provides in-home grooming services and they were very kind and attentive from the first moment. Sarah is amazing and so caring, My dog usually gets a little anxious, but he was so calm with Sarah, not surprising since Sarah has such good energy. Sara and Pawsitively Gentle Grooming are amazing! My dog was groomed for the first time by them 2 weeks ago and she still looks, smells, and feels amazing! I'm not sure if this review will post because I normally don't post reviews but I had to for the grooming experience we just received with Sara. All other places I either do not trust enough or the next appointment is weeks from now. Not only was Sara on time but she accommodated me changing an appointment last minute to fit my schedule. She followed every precaution during the pandemic and was so warm, friendly, and professional. My shorkie was so well behaved with her and she did such a beautiful job and cleaned up everything after! The fact that she actually comes to your home is the cherry on top. We came home at 6:30pm to find my back door completely open. Sarah failed to close my door. Â Very dangerous especially since it gets dark out early and someone could have broken in. We were all in tears. We trusted her enough to leave on her own through the back. If she was unable to close the door that could have been expressed or stated. Via text, phone or in person. It's a shame because I was going to hire her officially for my dog and other 3 dogs that live in Nassau County. Even gave her private parking since she couldn't find parking out on the street. My experience with Pawsitively Gentle in-home grooming has been life changing. Sara is professional, clean, follows covid precautions, and prompt. Pre-covid, I used to take my dog to Petco for grooming, but then covid happened and scheduling appointments became very difficult. I started to use a mobile groomer who charged reasonable prices but was not reliable, kept canceling. Tried looking for other mobile groomer companies but they charged outrageous prices. My family's dog is a 14 year-old Pekingese who grew up as a house dog with little socialization. My mom tries to groom him at home because he doesn't do well at pet stores (he barks at everyone and probably tries to bite). Sara took care of him with ease like a true professional. She clipped and dremel'ed his nails gently and quickly. He didn't move at all which was unexpected. She certainly has the magic touch! I highly recommend Sara as a pet groomer. I recently moved to the area and was nervous about finding a new groomer that my fur babies would feel comfortable around. She kept me up to date with how they were doing throughout their session and after grooming my golden, she sent me a picture to make sure I was happy with the haircut. Our usual groomer was closed due to covid, and my friend recommended Sara for grooming. Sara offers mobile grooming services, which is awesome because she can either come to your home or you can drop off your dog with her. We opted to drop off our dog. We met outside to do a curbside drop off, and she asked us what types of services we wanted, what type of cut we'd like, pretty much all the specifics. We sent her some reference pictures, and then went home to chill. My favorite thing was getting updates throughout the grooming session. She texted us photos and videos of the grooming process and would ask us what we thought of his fur length towards the end. When we went to pick him up, he was super happy and excited. She did such an amazing job with him. He's a 9 year old pomeranian mix, and he came back looking like a puppy. Also, I'm not sure what shampoo and conditioner she used on him, but his fur has never been softer. It's been two weeks since his grooming, and his fur is still super soft. What do you love most about your job?
The interactions! It's incredible that I get to meet so many different lovely creatures. I'm a dog lover and dog mom so I genuinely love my job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Autonomy. I like choosing how I operate and how I deal with customers.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm fair with prices and easy to communicate with. I'm super kind to animals, but equally kind to their owners. I strive to make the experience as easy as possible for both dog and human.

No, since grooming needs to be done in person. However, I could offer video advice or tutorials for some minor maintenance if you do not feel comfortable having people in your home but also cannot get to an outside groomer.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I wear a face mask and use hand sanitizer. All of my equipment is cleaned on a regular basis. I have special disinfectant for my scissors and sheers.
