I have a delightful dog, just 1 year old; I am 66 years old. Before Lucy entered our lives I could not manage this rambunctious puppy.

Overwatch K9 was the easy choice to make after researching and talking with several other companies/trainers. Nothing wrong with the other folks nothing really "clicked" with them. Paige returned my call the same day I requested info on their website. Her enthusiasm and knowledge was what we needed to sign up for the 14 day board and train program for Lucki. We adopted Luck from a shelter and had her about 3 weeks. I trained her to sit and down but clearly needed help going much beyond that! Lucy at Overwatch went above and beyond. She not only taught her the obedience "commands" but gave us so much valuable insight into what makes Lucki tick, and how to use it help in her overall training. Lucy is patient and caring and kind and gets good results quickly! From the initial phone call, pick up, daily updates, and finally the handoff graduation Lucy and Overwatch provided 5 star service. I like the post drop follow up availability too! Some.have mentioned the cost as expensive but honestly I think it's comparable to other services in the area of the same type. Money very well spent for a companion we will have for the next 12 to 15 years. I would use Overwatch/Lucy again in a heartbeat for any new dogs in the future. Thank you all so much! More...

Wow! Lucy has done wonders with Coco! He is doing so well with training on and off leash! 10/10 recommend to any pet owner!

It was a very good experience we had working with Lucy ! She kept us updated on our two golden doodles, and sent pictures , and video’s for two weeks ! We were very comfortable with leaving our dogs with Lucy ! She did an amazing job with training them ! They are so well behaved now ! We sent our 8 month old Golden Retriever/ Irish Setter mix to Kirstin for the 2 week board and train program, and I cannot emphasize how amazing and worthwhile it is! He came back more confident, more eager to please, and more self satisfied. He learned how to be off leash, walk on a leash, stay, door manners, house manners, etc. He no longer barks at us when we tell him no lol! He went from dragging me across the yard to being off leash outside with me with no concerns. Kirstin communicated with us on the daily about his progress and was very easy to get a hold of. We sent our two 1 year old pit mix dogs to the board and train program and could not be happier with our experience! Lucy went above and beyond to make sure they were loved and cared for while they were with her. We had a rough start with some separation anxiety but she was patient and helped them through it. She never gave up on them even when it would have been easy to. Every day we got videos and seeing the progress they were making, and how happy they were doing it, was amazing to watch. When she brought them back to us we took them on a walk together, which was something we were never able to do before. I feel confident we could take them out anywhere and they will be able to handle it now. They aren't jumping up on people anymore and just seem like very happy well adjusted dogs! Knowing we can check in anytime and get help if we ever need it makes us feel confident that we can handle anything that comes up. From the first day, and every day thereafter we received a video of what our Golden Retriever was learning. It was great to see that he was doing so well. He learned leash and loose lease walking, which was a major struggle for us before. Going to pet stores was also challenging since all he wanted to do was pull and jump on people. We watched him learn how to behave in stores. He learned how to greet visitors properly, no jumping or running out of the door. Many other typical behavior problems were also corrected. He even met another Golden who he trained and played with daily. We are very happy with what he learned during his stay with his trainer and the process of training us, his owners on what commands and steps to continue. We highly recommend Overwatch K9A Academy not only for how our Golden was treated (I have a feeling they loved him as much as we do) and what he learned but knowing we will have continued support if ever needed. I was WOWED!! I am a first time dog owner (my husband has had dogs his whole life) and our rescue was crazy !! Lucy came to our home and picked him up - communicated daily about progress - and then made an apt that worked for us to bring him back and spent an hour+ teaching us how to command our pup! I can’t say enough good things about Overwatch K9 academy and our trainer Lucy. As an anxious puppy mom I was very cautious sending our GSP puppy off to training. She messaged me daily with updates and had answers to all my questions. Goose was a very sweet but very high energy puppy. After training he is still his very sweet self but much easier to manage. Daily tasks with him have become more enjoyable and we are excited to continue working with him as it’s so apparent he loves working for rewards. I will 100% be using this program for my future dogs. I highly recommend using OverWatch K9 Academy. Kerry is an amazing trainer with a gift in working with dogs. My dog absolutely loves her and clearly enjoyed working with her. I am so impressed with what Kerry was able to accomplish in a short period of time. Kerry sent daily videos updating us on progress and always responds quickly to questions. Every aspect of my experience with Overwatch K9 Academy has been excellent. Joey called me within 30 minutes of receiving my application and was very helpful and friendly. Maverick was a seven month old energetic mini Bernedoodle, who exhibited all of the unpleasant puppy behaviors that Joey listed on his website. Lucy worked with him for three weeks and brought us back a delightful and well trained puppy we could finally enjoy. The difference was astounding! Lucy gave us all the tools to reinforce her training, and is still always available when a question arises! She is absolutely the best!! She loves what she does, and she does it expertly! I honestly don't even know where to start other than WE LOVE LUCY!!!! We have a 3 year old Eskipoo. We ADORE him and love his little personality but there were some things we knew he needed to improve on. He realllly loved to hear himself (barks a lot) and on walks, he wanted to play with other dogs (lunging at them and barking for attention). He didn't listen very well to "come", "leave it", "no", "stay", or really any other request of ours.

Lucy took Oliver for 2 weeks and we thought there was no way ALLLLL of those things would be improved in such a short amount of time but we were VERY wrong. She was absolutely amazing with him. And we could tell he loved her by the way he was looking at her taking his pictures.

I was missing him A LOT. 2 weeks away from our little angel was a lot for me. I love him so much. But, she knew that and she sent extra pictures and extra videos. I cannot even begin to tell you all how much this helped us, her knowing and acknowledging that I needed those things too.

I honestly just cannot even say enough good things about this entire experience. Oliver is a changed pup! We continue to work with him every day and he continues to make progress. Lucy trained us just as much as she trained Oliver and it has made our relationship with our dog SO much better, even though we didn't think that was possible.

We would never recommend anyone else!!! This experience was life changing for us and for Oliver. We love Lucy and she will forever be a part of ours and Oliver's lives. We are forever grateful!!! More...

Everything about dealing with OverWatch K9 was professional, efficient and EFFECTIVE. We sent a one-year-old puppy (aka wild man) and he came back a perfect young gentleman. He might have been a quick learner and we are doing our best to keep up with the lessons -- leash, heel, off, stay, sit and stay, place, and more. He no longer pulls at every piece of paper on a table or on the counter (although he did swipe a big piece of pate without our knowing it). Lucy was our trainer, and she is absolutely the best. She has a very calming presence and an unbelievable amount of knowledge of dog behavior and training. She spent so much time with us at our initial meeting getting to know what we were looking for as far as training and our concerns. She was very communicative while CeeCee was with her, answering texts and sending videos, which made being away from our sweet puppy a bit easier. She has been home 2 weeks now and is doing great, so much improvement! We talk to Lucy regularly giving her updates and asking many questions, and she is always more than willing to give us advice. OverWatch has been a true blessing and lifesaver for our family. We adopted Sam and it was evident he had never had any potty training, social interaction, etc. We couldn’t even take him for a walk, he peed everywhere anytime he was scared. He barked at everything. We worked with him diligently but it just was not enough. I do not believe in rehoming pets but the stress it put on our family there just didn’t seem like many other options. The stress he felt, just didn’t feel like he was living his best life. We contacted OverWatch. They visited for a bit to get familiar with Sam and picked him up from our home. Kerry updated us daily. He spent 3 weeks with her. I won’t say he’s a new dog- his anxiety is still there and he’s certainly still mischievous. But he is able to do things I never thought he could. He’s happier, less anxious. We can leave the house, he can meet people, he listens, he understands. It was an amazing foundation for a good boy. Our lives are so much calmer now and he is so much happier. Our experience was amazing from start to finish! I feel like the process is extremely personalized, and our trainer Lucy was AMAZING! The updates, photos and videos on a daily basis are such an important component. I loved Oscar was in a trainers home, receiving attention and care. Not only did Oscar get training, so did we. Not to mention the training doesn’t end at the completion of the program, we can reach our trainer for additional questions and habits that may develop. 10 out of 10 recommend! More...

Lucy did wonderful with Coco! She was so quick at responding to our texts and updating us through out the day of Coco’s progress. We are so happy with the K9 academy! They trained our 10 month old Doberman and he is a completely different dog for the better. We have seen major improvements with recall, house manners, and leash work. The daily videos “highlight tapes” were the highlights of our day ever day he was away at training. He went on so many fun and productive field trips. It was very obvious how much the trainers loved and cared about our dog, and took pride in they work they were doing with him! Overwatch and Kirstin in particular were absolutely amazing. After doing basic training on our own our 5yr Aussie and 2yr husky mix needed extra help with manners and leash pulling. We did the two week board and it has changed so much!

Both now have excellent door/people manners and are able to stay in place and even nod off when company is over. Before this we had to hold them or keep them away from jumping the whole time.

Their leash pulling has also gone away and they look at us walking when they know a distraction is coming.

Worth every penny and will definitely send a puppy sooner if we adopt again! More...

Kirstin trained our 8 year old Golden Retrievers and the transformation was beyond anything we expected. We had never mastered leash training and now enjoy daily walks. They were SO skittish in the car we never wanted to go anywhere with them and so, we did a poor job socializing them. Now we take them everywhere and have no apprehension about new experiences or encountering other dogs. I wish we would have worked with Overwatch K9 years ago. One last thing, the dogs LOVED Kirstin. She sent us videos every night and it was amazing how well they adapted to being with her. They were always happy. They still have their same personalities but now I think they are enjoying life even more! More...
