Outdoor Creative Designs was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Justin came out and walked me through my options for landscaping, and did so without making me feel dumb (although I admittedly am when it comes to this stuff). He was thoughtful and responsive throughout the process, and his team was great while on-site. They went above and beyond not just in the contracted work, but they even put down some grass seed in places where they noticed I needed it!Will definitely look for OCD first for any and all future landscaping needs. If you’re in the St. Louis area and trying to figure out your landscaping, I can’t recommend Justin McCoy at Outdoor Creative Design highly enough. I’m pretty convinced it would be hard to find someone who knows more about the kinds of plants that will work in this area. He designed and supervised installation of my landscaping (which couldn’t be more perfect for what I wanted—native plants as much as possible/practical, rain garden, bee and butterfly friendly, patio, and flagstone walkway) and walked through my friend’s property with us to help us have what we needed to feel really good walking into the process of buying trees—which would have been insanely intimidating for us otherwise. OCD just finished a paver patio, lighting and landscape re-design for our back yard. We went into the first meeting with OCD with only a general idea of what we wanted done, and needed some help completing the vision. Jeremy did an awesome job on the initial design which we were then able to customize to the final plan. Once the project came to life, it exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier with the results. Everyone who performed work at our house was professional, courteous, and friendly. OCD recently designed and installed new landscaping at our home in South St. Louis City. I can't express how much we enjoyed working with them, especially Jeremy, who was our designer. He listened carefully to everything we wanted - he understood that it was our dream and he worked on it like he cared about us. These guys are incredible. My wife commented so many times on how professional, courteous, and accommodating the entire crew working on our job was. We started looking for a landscape company this past fall to give us a design for our wooded back yard. We had been unsuccessful with getting grass to grow and had wash out problems as well. Adam came out to walk the property and talk over our goals for the space. From the first meeting, we were impressed with this company. Adam listened to what was important to us and really seemed to understand our mission for the project, which carried into the design plan. They were so great in troubleshooting what was not working and coming up with a solution to the problems. The end result was a large dry creek bed for a washout area surrounded by attractive plants that thrive in our shady conditions. We also had them run all the drain pipes from the back of our home into the creek bed. Adam was in contact with us daily once the project began to make sure we were satisfied with the work being done. The end result brought tears to my eyes!! It was like one of those home flipping shows, only it was MY yard!!! We are very particular and this company definitely lives up to it's name. Thank you O.C.D. for a job well done!! Once moving to St. Louis in October 2016 and buying our Urban home next to Forest Park, we knew landscaping would be our first priority. We found Outdoor Creative Design at the St Louis Home and Garden show in March 2017. That's where we met Jeremy. Our first encounter with Jeremy sealed the deal for us. We knew we liked him from the start. Jeremy followed up with us within a few days after we met to begin working with us and developing our landscaping design. Outdoor Creative Design just finished our hardscaping 3 weeks ago and we could not be more thrilled. Dave and his crew of hardworking professionals "Joe and Marcus" did a fantastic job on our patio and retaining wall. I started using Outdoor Creative Design (OCD) 5 years ago. I’d been trying to find a company for years to help me manage the outside of my house only to get the same story over and over again. They come, walk around and talk about my needs, but I'd end up with a generic program that didn’t seem to take into account all of the nuances that make my situation a little different. And that was why I gave OCD the job.Adam (the owner) came, walked around and answered each little question with an appreciation for the work I’ve done and also an open approach to how we can knock off projects in a multitude of ways. They were there to help in any way I needed – that is magic. Over the years they have done various size projects for me. Every time they did the job in a way I would have, meaning it was all the way done and then some, almost personal. The most personal "project" to me is my lawn.I have an obsession with a nice looking, healthy lawn. The first summer I started using OCD, had been absolutely brutal on my lawn so I reached out to Adam for advice, perspective and help. He could have sold me on any solution because it was that dire. However, his response basically said that if he did anything to my lawn in this heat, it would make it worse. Here is a company who depends on this type of work choosing to not take advantage of my naivety and do the right thing. And the proof is in the results. I can't tell you how many compliments I get on my lawn regarding how full and healthy it is. And the crazy thing is, I don't have a sprinkler system in this St. Louis heat.Their integrity humbled me and the exceptional work solidified my long-term partnership with OCD. What I have come to know about Adam and OCD is that they will always do it the right way… not only the right treatment/plan/program, but treating people the right way.
