The original sports specific training facility in RI. These guys are incredible and played a huge role in my development as an athlete, beginning at the age of 16.

Both of my kids have used the NEST, individually and with teams. Mike and his staff create programs for each individual or team that are fun and effective. They create individual and team goals and competition. GREAT place to bring your young student athlete. More...

I was staying in Warwick for a week. This gym was close to the hotel and had the equipment I needed. The staff was friendly and gave great suggestions for the area. I will say that this is a gym for those who are serious about training. You won’t find fluff equipment. They have the essentials and then some unique equipment. More...

I've worked with many trainers and Physical therapists, Jeff is by far the most knowledgeable in his field. He knows what to target and how hard to push and when you're in pain; he knows just the right stretches or exercises to relieve that pain. I've always hated workouts but NEST has me excited to get to the gym to work on what I've been taught. I've never sweated as much as I do when working out at NEST. My goal when I began was weight loss and strength improvement. My goal now is a tough Mudder competition. More...

We would like to thank NorthEast Sports Training and Rehabilitation. A year ago Mike Macchioni reached out to us when our son was a high school freshman and suggested he come to a baseball clinic being held at NEST, by Jim Foster, who was then Associate Head Coach at Boston College. Coach Foster, in turn, asked our son to come to BC's February's clinic. These events eventually lead to his commitment to BC last week as a sophomore. We want to extend our sincere thanks to Mike and NEST for thinking of us and tell anyone who might be reading this post with high school age kids, if Mike gives you a call or an email, and says, "so and so, a college recruiting coach, will be giving a clinic at NEST . . ." I would strongly suggest you attend, you never know where it might lead. More...

This place is my favorite part about my week. Welcoming atmosphere, not to mention a great staff that genuinely cares about your goals and overall well-being. Allison is my strength and conditioning coach and I couldn't have asked for anyone better. She's encouraging, knowledgable and always pushes and motivates me to push my limits to achieve goals. I don't know what I'd do without her. If you aren't going here, you're missing out! More...

Professional and knowledgeable. My son injured his arm badly during the off season. Paul and Brian worked to motivate him, rehabilitate his injury and strengthen the rest of his body. Now he's stronger than before and has a better understanding about the work that it takes to push yourself to the next level. More...

Q&As

Our reputation is getting our clients results. Our clients tend to be more 'results-oriented' in their exercise endeavors. They want to get the most out of the time they dedicate to exercising. Therefore, we attract a great many athletes. Even, to the point where potential clients assume we only deal with elite level athletes. In actuality, elite level athletes tend to find us because they have very concrete goals that need to be met (gain / lose weight for competition, jump higher, run faster, etc) within specified time frames. Our results-oriented training method ensure they acheive such goals, quickly and safely. Fortunately, these same training methods are the backbone of our fitness programs and help, just as many, general fitness enthusiasts, occupational-specific clientele, and post therapy / rehabilitation patients reach their goals. Don't assume you can't have access to the same services Professional athletes have. The details of your program will be different. However, the approach will be the same and, ultimately, that is what leads to achieving your fitness goals.
