I'm Roxy Owen's granddaughter and I can agree whole heartedly both dogs she got from here are loved to the absolute max. The staff is nice, doggos are cute. The people in the reviews below might wanna consider asking other places if they wanna re-home pets if this shelter did not respond to their needs or was full (which I am pretty sure they still are). I have not seen anything bad about their policy. You might as well consider making a page about the dog you wanna re-home or post it on Natalie's wall (if that is an option). My wife and I were driving by on our way back from triple xxx and spotted this place and we ended up filling out some adoption papers for a boxer mix named Lilly. The whole staff is super friendly and patient, far better than I would be when you have people all over asking questions and wanting to see dogs and dogs barking non stop. The dogs have a good amount of space, which surprised me since the place is so small. They are well fed and well taken care of. I've been volunteering here for 9 years. I've seen the good the bad and the ugly. People are very judgemental over someone who has dedicated her life to saving irresponsible people's dogs. It's a 24/7 mentally and physically draining job and she does the best she can. Yes the dogs are in kennels and moved around frequently for different scenery and quiet areas. We rotate dogs to the office and they are walked a MINIMUM of 2x a day (Weather depending). We survive off donations. We are not perfect and we will never claim to be. We learn from our mistakes and try the best we can for the dogs. And this community. More...

I love this place, I've had two dogs in my lifetime and both times I've had to place them up for adoption for personal reasons, and this place always made my family and I feel welcome. you can definitely feel the love for the animals in this place, I just took my dog in yesterday, I called and they told me give them an hour and they would have a spot for him, and indeed they did.
