Great food! Fantastic sweets! They have tarts, cookies and cupcakes that look like they're out of a movie, they are so perfect. The sandwich I got was filled with meat and cheese and was delicious. Fairly priced too. Definitely a must if you're in the area. More...

Visited with my friend. I loved the fruit tart I had. This place made me love raspberries again. Friendly staff. Even though we may have accidentally stayed past closing, (which I'm very sorry about) we only did so because we were lost in conversation thanks to the relaxing atmosphere and tasty food. Will be back for sure.

Shop has nice selection. Still giving 5 stars even though $4 chicken noodle soup was not hot and only had two teeny tiny pieces of chicken. .. And there was no free sample bread... At a bakery?!?! !!! Plan on paying for your cup if you want to drink water. Did enjoy visiting. Spent over $20 on tarts macaroons eclairs cookies bottle water, cup (for filtered tap water) and of course soup. More...

Wonderful wonderful food and pastries. When we came in, they were jam packed busy. We had to wait in line that was out the door. But the wait was well worth it for the food and pastries. DELICIOUS!!!!! The girl at the register was so friendly. Everything was well worth it. We'd love to check it out when you are clower! More...

Cute fun little bakery. Efficiently fun and fast staff for how busy you are. Pizza was delicious, would recommend the egg salad. We would have given it five stars, but both our tart shells were soggy....not what we want out of a tart. We want a crisp tart! Recommendations....HOT CHOCOLATE IS HOT. THE CUPS NEED SLEEVES. THE CUPS ARE HOT! It would be better to have bigger boxes, so when someone orders 15 sugar cookies they don't have to have eight different boxes with cookies stacked on each other. Really? More...

Came in on Saturday with a couple friends and had a great experience. I had been to Gardner Village quite a few times before but had never stopped in to eat at Archibald's. The food was great and so was our server, Leigh! We will be back for sure! More...

A few weeks ago we had our wedding dinner reception at Archibald's. Leading up to, and planning was all great and smooth.
When we called in to give our head count we made a change to our linens that didn't happen on the day. That wasn't really the end of the world.
I didn't appreciate how tactless the staff was. They kept kissing up to my mother the whole time. Through the entire process of planning, it was my husband and I who were planning and handling the wedding, not my mother.
It was not communicated how we would pay for the event. We had provided our card over the phone for the deposit and assumed that we would be billed on the same card that day, or invoiced.
The staff brought my mother the check at the end of the event! She was not the one paying for it!
Here we are trying to leave, and be seen off, and are being pressured to pay the check right then and there. Neither of us had our wallets on us and were feeling so rushed out of there. Our time was up in the space and we needed to get out.
My father-in-law took care of the bill for us so we could leave, with the intention we pay him back. There is an automatic 20% service fee, which to me, is a tip. My father-in-law didn't know that. I feel like the staff member duped him to pay an additional tip on top of what was already charged, which when you're spending thousands of dollars, is a lot of money. I don't feel like a tip was even deserved, as the only thing the staff assigned to our event did, was replace the drink pitchers and bring out cake in our buffet style meal where everyone serves themselves.
Before an additional 20% was added to the overall bill, it cost approximately $38 a head. That included the room rental, set up/clean up, linens and food.
The food was pretty good, but I wouldn't recommend using Archibald's as a venue. Not worth it.

Resolution update:
After posting my review, the manager tried getting in contact with me for a few days, and I was able to call her back.
Shauna listened to my experience attentively and truly cared. She wanted to make sure that the situation was made right to the best of her ability. She let me know that the feedback I gave helped them see that it may be a good thing to have on their paperwork the details of who was being billed to avoid any future awkward scenarios. I was very grateful that she took the matter seriously, and we were able to come to a resolution.

This restaurant is amazing and so is every single member of their staff! I have been here on two separate occasions and I have been treated so well!
On my first visit I was helped by Margie who was outgoing, friendly, quick, and gave us phenomenal service despite all of her tables being full. She was an amazing server and she made sure that we were all taken care of! On my second visit I was helped by Marsha who was another excellent, kindhearted, amazing server. She was amazingly fast, diligent, attentive, and efficient. She too also gave us phenomenal service, and made sure we had everything that we needed. These two definitely made both of my visits great by going above and beyond in their duties. I will definitely be coming back, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

My wife and I are frequent visitors of this establishment, and love both this restaurant and Gardner Village. We love the food and shops, and love watching it grow. The atmosphere and culture and enrichment surrounding this beautiful establishment have been what frequently brings us back. Something happened Friday night while dining in Archibald's, that solidified this for myself, but even more so, for my wife. While there Friday night, and elderly homeless man came in to eat, by the looks of him, he probably had been out there for a while, hadn't showered, and was not a customer you see here at the Village. However, something happened that instilled such profound empathy, warmth, and pure love, that it left a deep impression upon myself and my wife. Our waiter, Tom treated this homeless man the exact same way he did my table, tha family across from us, and the table behind us. In listening to him interact with all these different people, he did one thing. He made each of us fee like family, and like we were the only table we had in the whole restaurant. (Even though we knew we weren't.) We rarely remember servers names, but for him to do that for a fellow man that most would pass by, or treat differently impressed us so greatly. We believe that is exactly the kind of culture, atmosphere, and character that Archibald's and Gardner Village has. We will be telling everyone we know what wonderful employees this place has, and the positive things we have seen this weekend. More...

I have been a long time lover of Archibald's restaurant. I love the atmosphere, I love the food, the service is always great, the location is in a great spot, and there is a lot of places to shop either before or after your meal. So my family and I have have pretty much made it a tradition to come here for things like birthdays, family reunions, and sometimes just lunches or dinners. Thank you so much for taking such good care of us. To the skinny young Ashley that said our tip made her day, you took great care of us. Thanks for being a doll. :) :) :) More...

And helped us with decorations. The food served was hot, delicious and plentiful. The servers were very attentive. We had a wonderful experience there and would recommend it for groups of about 25-45. My husband and I have enjoyed coming here during our birthday months for quite a few years now. We're members of the birthday club, so we get one free meal (with the purchase of another) during our birthday month. Their chicken fried steak is VERY good. We also were huge fans of the portabello mushroom steak and the crab cakes, but those recently have been removed from the menu. New dishes get added to the menu, as other (maybe not as popular ones) get removed, so there's also reason to keep coming back. Their prime rib is good too. I've always had pretty good service each time I've come here as well. It's a nice atmosphere, and I love walking around the connected furniture store if there's a long wait. More...

We were greeted and seated. We didn't have to wait very long, basically got right in. The atmosphere and decorations are fun to look at. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The overall service during our meal was great. My meal was well prepared and tasty. The price was high, but between the meal and the atmosphere it was worth it. They take credit cards, debit cards, and cash for payment. More...

My wife and I visited Gardner Village recently and were very pleased with the whole experience. It was really nice to walk the grounds, visit the shops and all in all simply enjoy the ambiance. We stopped in at Archibald's, waited 10 minutes and was seated. The restaurant was very comfortable and clean. The staff were all very friendly and prompt. We ordered our appetizer and entree's at the same time which may have been a mistake. Like all decent restaurant's should they allowed an appropriate amount of time for us to enjoy our appetizer before serving out entree plates but once they arrived both of our plates had cold food on them. I ordered the prime rib with vegetables and baked potato and my wife had the steak and breaded shrimp, the baked potato's were both warm but all other items were cold. This would have been a 5 star experience if it weren't for this. We will no doubt return and eat at Archibald's again but will more than likely stick with soups, salads, burgers, etc. More...

Saturday night was the first time dining at Archibald's. I knew from talking to friends that it was going to be extremely busy. But I still wanted to brave the crowd's to experience the witch's night. We arrived and put our name on the list. We were told that we could wait in the lobby or go walk around and we would receive a text when our table was ready. Or the third option was to be seated in the bar area immediately. I was with my sister and a few friends, we decided to try the bar. We were greeted by our server Sherry in less than a minute. From the very beginning she was funny and knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant it self. We did have to wait a little while for our meal (about 45 minutes) but based on our servers recommendations it was well worth the wait. The meal was good the atmosphere beautiful...but what really made our evening a night to remember was the service! It has been a long time since I have felt like I was sitting in an old friends kitchen. Even though Sherry and the other server were incredibly busy we never felt like we waited to long for anything. So I can highly recommend Archibalds the food is true comfort food. We got the fried green tomatoes I had the pot roast and we ended the meal with white chocolate bread pudding. But the service we received was truly what made our night extraordinary! More...
