I was very nervous to start daycare with my new adopted husky. He is still learning and has some anxiety too. The staff was super friendly and it was so easy to book everything! Today I came to pick up our cat after boarding him during a family vacation. He required special care due to his diabetes and I gladly paid for him to have his diabetic food and insulin administered to him twice daily. I had scheduled him to be cared for until 8pm and, as fortune had it, we ended our vacation early and was able to pick him up around noon. My cat was so agitated that I had to pluck him out of the cage scratched and bleeding. They sent me home with his remaining food and I noted that he had a lot more food than he should have. Because of his state of agitation, which is not normal for him, I called to make sure they gave him his breakfast at which time they informed me that they had been giving him his non diabetic cat food and his insulin. When I brought him home, his blood sugar was 50mg/dL. I truly believe that if I had waited to pick him up at 8pm as originally scheduled I would have picked up a dead family member. I had an awful experience with Redstone while my senior (16 year old) cat was under anesthesia for a dental extraction. A tech used bandage scissors to remove his IV line, and accidentally cut him, but it required extensive stitches on his front arm to mend. They initially tried to charge me for an expensive collar on checkout so he wouldn't lick the wound. It is about 4 months later, and he still limps severely after that and it would appear to be permanent now (he never had walking issues before undergoing the anesthesia). I do believe this incident was very negligent, and has limited whatever quality of life he has remaining. I took my cat here after it was advertised as "Fear Free" and believed they would have the ability to handle cats under stress. I did get an apology phone call from the doctor overseeing the surgery, but I do not have any confidence in their staff whatsoever. While I have liked the vets themselves, on subsequent visits to remove the stitches, I have found other staff to be lacking friendliness and some degree of professionalism. I generally do not air such negative reviews, but this incident has truly devastated me and left my cat impaired. I feel others should at least be aware. This place has room for a ton of improvement and goes without saying I wouldn't recommend it. More...

I have an elderly dog with kidney and liver issues who needs to have regular vet visits. The last two times I went in I was sent home with a bowl and syringe to collect pee and fecal samples. Both times after taking my dog back for under 10 minutes to exam him they told me they were unable to collect a sample on their own. My dog is 10 we’ve been going to vets for 10 years I’ve never had a vet tell me that they were not able to get the sample, now it’s been the last 2 times. They are in a rush and care more about the money and don’t want to do the work. I didn’t get my sample in “on time” (no time limit was given) so although I paid a lot for it, I never got the results. We love My Pets Place. Durango, our very active lab, goes here for daycare days when I know I can’t get home during the day to let him out. We also use the boarding when we travel. Durango loves it. I also like the fact that if he needs anything, shots or whatever, the vet is just right there. The report cards are fun to read when we pick him up. They have been very patient with the moodiness and temperament of my rescue, mostly good but sometimes not so good. My Pet’s Place was the perfect spot for my sheltie’s first birthday party! The indoor area was not only immaculately clean, but they had fun play equipment and plenty of space to run around and set up decorations/food. They had a staff member there the whole time to help with anything from doggie messes to providing tables and trash cans. You can tell how everyone there just loves and adores dogs!! Due to a last minute issue, we ended up boarding our dogs for 4 nights at My Pets Place off of Santa Fe in Littleton. We had used them in the past, but it had been a while. My husband did drop off and it was simple and easy. I went this morning for pickup, and noticed the facility wasn’t the cleanest, but was in a rush, and didn’t pay as much attention as I should have. As soon as I got the dogs into the car, I noticed that they smelled and looked terrible!!!! I had to open the windows in the car just to get them home. As I was checking out the man at the desk had stated that our older dog had an accident on the kennel, and they had given them a bath, but after putting them in the car, it was really obvious they had not been bathed. My son and I managed to clean up and give a bath to our German Shepherd, but I took our Bichon in right away to our groomer. She was caked in gross substances, smelled like urine and feces. It took them 4 baths and 3 hours to get her clean. They had to shave her completely. The urine caked on her was so bad that she has burns to the back of her legs. It also cost a small fortune. After all of this, I called My Pets Place to talk to someone. A girl answered the phone. She stated that they forgot to give the dog a bath, and she was sorry. They also offered to have the vet at Redstone look at our dogs tomorrow. And she offered me a $35 credit for our next stay (which is pointless as we will never use them again, and the grooming for the dog was triple that). Please be aware of where you take your animals, as we are mortified at the conditions they must have been in the last 5 days. More...

Our dog Harold was staying there from 7/3-7/8.He was 11 years old and hated fireworks, so we were recommended to board him so he was not close to how bad the neighbors do them for days. On 7/5 Brianna left a voicemail saying he was lethargic and that they thought they should take him in. We called back several times and nobody called us back. On Friday finally was able to talk to someone and Sara said everything was fine with our dog. On Sunday I got a call that our dog was not doing ok and that he should be taken to the ER. We were 5 ours away so a family member had to take him. Our dog passed without us there because of the negligence of the receptionist. And the manager tells me they were very busy after the holiday so they were not able to call us back. More...

I get the impression that Redstone is all about the money. I do not feel confident in their concern for my dog. The vet seems very nice, but the manor of business is not something that leaves me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.

I noticed my pug limping when I brought her home. It took a little while to figure out but I realized the cut her middle nail too short and it bled. The next day it was very swollen. I was not so upset about mistake, but upset that they never told me. Tech never cut rest of nails after accident. They charged me for nail cutting when I checked out and never revealed that they hurt my dog. What kind of dog-lover does that? Hurts someone dog and doesn't disclose it? They offered a free visit to the vet where I found out she has a bacterial infection now in her toe and had to go on antibiotics. More...

I fall into the category of crazy dog mama over my 10-year-old girl with endless worries, concerns, questions, etc. and they have spent SO much time with me answering all my questions and listening to all my concerns. We were really nervous leaving Odin, our (very attached to us) German Shepherd puppy, at a boarding place as it was is first time ever being away from us for longer than a few hours. But My Pets place definitely made us confident he was being taken care of well while we were away and made our trip less stressful. The pictures and videos of him were nice to see, and they even called us to let us know he wouldn't be in a group session for play time the first day because he was a little nervous. Our cat needed oral surgery. I would recommend Redstone to anyone who needed vet care. ~ Without asking a towel sprayed with a natural relaxant was provided to keep her calm (totally worked, it's amazing) ~ The exam was conducted in a room exclusively for cats and also had that relaxant in the room ~ They were gentle, thorough and still efficient ~ An estimate was provided the day of the exam ~ Scheduling the surgery was easy ~ Dropoff for the surgery was fast ~ I got a call when the surgery was complete ~ Pick up went well with full instructions for after surgery care ~ The work came in under the estimate I was told why and very impressed that I wasn't taken advantage of ~ The office provided a range of payment options ~ The office was patient and well run ~ The office called me the day after surgery to check up on our kitty's recovery process There is no doubt in my mind that the people at Redstone work their absolute hardest to ensure the comfort of their patients and the peace of mind of their patients' owners.

I do like the veterinarians, they are fabulous. What is awful about Redstone is the front staff that orders medicine. For the second time they dropped the ball on ordering my cats medicine which is detrimental to her life. Very disappointed of the lack of urgency and follow through. They do show urgency with taking money for the medicine as it came out of my account the night I ordered it now 2 weeks later no medicine. Unfortunately I feel that I will need to find another vet that has better service and reliable staff. My cats life depends on it. More...

I just adopted a senior cat named sir. I got him from the humane society of the south platte valley. He had a dental procedure scheduled when I got him. Redstone did a wonderful job even though he had a breathing issue after the procedure. They gave him a shot of steroids and put him in an oxygen cage. He's doing much better today.
