I trained at Messy for a year and a half with my dog and it was always a great experience. Alex tailored classes to meet the needs of the dogs in attendance, so even if I took a class twice it was always new. She thoughtfully answered any questions I had and helped me develop some training strategies specific to my dog if the "usual" way of training something wasn't catching on. I took both obedience and tricks classes and my dog loved them. My dog still gets excited when we drive past the building even though she moved to Iowa over 6 months ago! More...

Fun classes and Alex was wonderful to work with! She was very thorough and made sure to answer any questions anyone had. As a Certified Veterinary Technician with a special interest in animal behavior, I can't recommend a better set of trainers to work with! Their knowledge in positive, science based training is incomparable to any other trainer I have ever worked with in the Mankato area. There's also something to be said about their patience in working with challenging dogs, and their willingness to accommodate to your dogs needs. Classes offer a solid balance between individualized attention and keeping the class moving at a steady pace. These ladies are down to earth, and willing to teach. I took the Puppy Experience class with Antonia and the STAR Puppy class with Alex, and they were both great! My puppy learned a lot, and both trainers were awesome and helped with questions I had about things outside of what we worked on in class as well.

I started my puppy in MESSY's Puppy K class in November. Antonia was the instructor and she was AWESOME! She took the time to stop for questions, and made sure we didn't leave feeling uneasy or confused. Classes are fun and engaging. Antonia and Alex keep a close eye on socializing and play time too - if a puppy was giving signs of insecurity or fear, they made sure to pace things accordingly. Positivity and clicker training has given my puppy a good start, and we are already signed up for our first Obedience class in January with Alex. MESSY knows their stuff! More...
