MaxCharles Salon and Spa

It’s with tremendous joy and gratitude that I recommend the Max Charles Salon and Spa in Greenland, New Hampshire. The salon owner, Missi Pitcher, is not only an incredibly warm, kind and welcoming woman, but her hair artistry, skillset, knowledge, and entirely RARE customer approach technique is a standout nationwide. Having had my hair serviced all over the world - at some lavish places and some subpar ones too - I have never ever encountered a hairdresser who so uniquely interfaces with her clients, and provides such deeply informative knowledge to them about every facet of hair as Missy does! Clearly great customer service is valued and taught to the entire Max Charles team, as from the moment one walks in the door, they are greeted so graciously (“Tipsy,” the loving little Dogling does greet one too!), and the ambience is so clean and so comfortable - even the bathrooms are spacious and beautiful! The prices are appropriate, the products are terrific, (and smell wonderfully too), and the list of beauty services available, (aside from hair), makes this salon well worth a visit or even an appointment that may conveniently be booked online if one desires! Moreover, Missi’s masterful talent for repairing damaged cases from elsewhere, and for prioritizing her clients and their hair in a way that few hairdressers do, (yes she is THAT markedly different, and dedicated to a “deeper experience,” and from the initial consultation even and right through with every single appointment); truly exemplifies what a hair salon visit should be and how special it does make a person feel. While I only wish that I discovered this gem sooner, I am so grateful for having found them now, and I’d be remiss if not exclaiming how downright amazing The Max Charles Salon and Spa so remarkably is! I had a wonderful experience with Jill! She brought me in right on time. Made sure I was happy and comfortable multiple times. She fixed my hair after a box dye nightmare and gave me a great cut! I HIGHLY recommend MaxCharles after yesterday's appointment with Lindsey! As a redhead, I was always really nervous to change my hair, but I had been wanting to lighten it and heard of Balayage through my friends. When I walked into MaxCharles I had no idea what to expect. I had never been here before, didn’t know anyone here, had no connection to the place so just didn’t know what I was getting. To say my expectations were met is an understatement for sure. Missi took a lot of time, chatting with me, both personally and professionally I assume to get to know me so she could better meet my needs and wants hair-wise. She explained everything she was doing from the color to the cut to the styling. She was beyond thorough. The salon is top notch, clean & very pleasant. These ladies are amazing. Not only are they all gorgeous and you can tell just by looking at them that they know their stuff, they are beautiful on the inside as well. They are conveniently located right off of the highway and their space is very boutique and cute. They spend plenty of time giving you tips on how to maintain your hair and the specific styles you have. I highly recommend Max Charles! All the employees I’ve come across have been warm and friendly, the salon is always clean and well taken care of. I’ve been seeing Heather for my eyebrows, facials and makeup application for special events for many years. She even did the makeup for my wedding. She does a really great job; goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy with the results at EVERY appointment. She really listens to you and what you’re trying to achieve so that the end result is what you want. She’s incredibly sweet, sincere, real and often hilarious!
