To begin with Marilyn was very accommodating with my hectic schedule and she was very understanding. She made the lesson enjoyable and so easy to follow. I felt comfortable to ask any questions I had. I feel confident in my ability to replicate the look again. It was all around informative, from the application brushes she was using to why each color made sense for my complexion and undertones. I also found interesting her insight on different liner types, powders, creams, gels, basically breaking down the kind of makeup substance I should use for each step. I also brought in my makeup for her to assess, she was very knowledgeable about why some were good or bad for my specific face tone. I could tell she knows what she’s doing. Had so much fun with my cousin getting a makeup lesson from Marilyn! We learned so much about how to apply makeup in an age appropriate way and the techniques to looking younger. All of her products are well worth the investment. They really make a visible difference. She also critiqued all of my makeup products and told me which things worked and what to toss and why. Amazing Service! Marilyn is a very kind lady that will work with your budget. She stayed with us as long as the look took. She went through ALL my makeup and brushes to determine if they were quality or would clash with my specific features. She is very knowledgeable and even let me record her tips so I could recreate the look easier in the future!Updated: I visited Marilyn again this time so my niece could learn how to use makeup. I’m over 50 and I’ve never been happy with my make up. I saw Marilyn’s ad on Groupon and wanted to try it I was very interested in a professional look. Marilyn’s make up was so amazing! I have had other makeup lessons before but this was by far my favorite.  Marilyn is sweet and caring but in the same time knowledgeable.  She gave me simple easy to use instructions on how to apply make up,  what to buy and what to avoid so I get a nice natural makeup throughout the day.  She went beyond my expectations and she even helped me sort through my makeup stash to get rid of things that I shouldn't use. Marilyn is so sweet and her makeup is fabulous ! I had a large make up bag with more than I needed. The make up lesson with Marilyn is just what I needed to thin it out. She cleaned out my bag and reduced my make up steps in a flash. And honestly I've never looked bronzed without several powders before, she only used her home made matched foundation and translucent powder and I got a glow I've never seen before!Her pointers for my face type and shape were game changing. Highly recommend the consultation for $125. She was very thorough and recommended some changes but definitely didn't push anything I didn't actually need! I recently started using Marilyn Young cosmetics. I love her cosmetic line! I am pretty adept at applying my own makeup. Marilyn gave me tips on how to improve my look and corrected me on a few mistakes I was making with my makeup  placement/technique. She even custom blends foundation depending on your skins individual needs!  Marilyn is definitely worthy of a special occasion makeup application or to just get a makeup lesson like I did. I recently went for a trial wedding make-up session with Marilyn and had a wonderful experience. She is so warm and friendly- I had a blast sitting chatting with her while she did a fantastic and natural looking job on my make-up. We discussed what I wanted before she started and she explained what she was doing at every step and asked for my input to make sure it was how I wanted it to be. AMAZING talent.  I was gifted a photo shoot and the photographer suggested having my make up done professionally.  Both warned me makeup for photos and TV is very different than everyday.  I trusted them both.  I felt it was a little dramatic, but in the photos I looked SO natural and beautiful!
