I went to MLA 10 years ago. Suicidal and a brat with a abusive family.  Came out 100% better and my family participated in the reccomend therapies and 100% better. My life is so different I feel like I died and woke up in a better life. The school part isnt that great. Other than that they 100% saved my life and I  doing well because of MLA More...

Maple Lake Academy saved my daughter's life.  It is really that simple.  My daughter is on the autistic spectrum.  Before ML A, she was flailing in life, experiencing one failure and rejection after another until she became a shell of the beautiful, smart, funny child she once was.  My husband and I were desperate for help but we felt just as lost.  We tried other schools one being Franklin Academy and although they were all great schools,  they were not equipped to provide the degree of support and structure that our daughter needed.  Maple Lake was able to provide that help.  Words cannot describe the gratitude I feel toward all the staff, counselors and especially to Patty and Josh who believed in my daughter.  They saw past the anger, sadness, loneliness and despair to the person she was capable of being.  They gave us our daughter back.  After leaving MLA, she went on to Middlebridge and is currently finishing up her last year of high school.  She received an academic schloarship to a mainstream college she will be attending in the fall.  I realize Maple Lake is not the right school for every child and the staff will tell you as much.  Maple Lake is great program but its not for sissies.  They offer encouragement and compassion; they provide therapy for processing and tools for coping.  They also demand you to step up, be brutally honest, make no excuses and do the hard work necessary to become the person each girls know in their hearts they were meant to be.  I'm not sure of much in life but I am 100% positive that my daughter would not be where she is now without Maple Lake Academy.
