I had Lyon Landscape from Franklin complete two large jobs from me. The first job he did about 2 years ago was replacing an old 10x15 Deck that would have cost a fortune to have all the old rotten decking and railings replaced with composite decking. Instead for about the same cost of building a new deck He installed a fantastic 20x24 Blue stone patio and 8x5 stairs outside the sliding door. The patio is outlined with a soldier pattern of red bricks. From the demolition of the old deck and through the installation of the patio Alex and his crew managed to keep the work area clean and organized. The only issue I had was one of the Bluestone tiles had a deep pit/crater in it. I never bothered to mention it to Alex. For the second job I had Alex out about 3 months ago to get a quote on clearing about 6 large trees, remove all the smaller brush, build a retaining wall, add a new line so the irrigation system covers the new area, and level out the rest of the back yard. Without me mentioning it He noticed the problem with the one bluestone tile and said he’d have his guys replace it. When he came out for the quote he explained exactly what he had to do for the retaining wall foundation and how he had to back fill with crushed stone and Siltation fabric to allow the wall to drain. He started about 3 weeks after we first talked. The crew cleared the trees and all the brush. To level out the yard he built a brick retaining wall about 5 feet high and 80 feet long and added a massive amount of fill. When they were finished grading the entire area they brought in a truck and hydro seeded the area and they made sure they also repaired and seeded the area on the side of the house where the trucks and excavator had to enter and leave the back yard. His crew worked their arses off. The entire job took less than 2 weeks, and about two and a half weeks later my lawn was well on its way back. We are so very pleased with our finished yard! Originally we had thought we would need to hire several contractors (tree removal, landscaping, etc) but upon a friend's recommendation we hired Lyon Landscape and they handled the entire job! Alex took the time to talk things through with us and presented my husband and I with great ideas. We knew we were in good hands! As is typical, New England weather presented the project with a few surprises but as soon as they were able the workers were back to finish.
