My name is Rita Silvestri. I met my beloved friend Lynne Clark several years ago when I wanted a photo of my husband and I with our dogs who at that time numbered four, Channie, Bearette, Gigi and Collette. The photo was beautiful so the next year and the next year and the following year we repeated our photo sessions with Lynne. Our beautiful dogs came to us and left us and went to the great dog heaven over the rainbow bridge. Channie, our magnificent German Shepard left first and along came Butterscotch a giant yellow lab. He knocked on our dining room door one day and said with his beautiful big brown eyes that Channie had sent him. Then one by one our 3 Border Collies said goodbye. Butterscotch missed his busy sisters so we searched for the perfect back lab (aren't they all) and Truffles, a little eight month old puppy girl moved in and stole all of our hearts. Butterscotch welcomed her with open paws and and a wagging tail. Then two years later, he met with his siblings and crossed the rainbow bridge to lie in the green grass and flowers on a heavenly hillside with them and Channie while they await our coming. Now we are four again, Mom and Dad and Truffles and our yellow bird Toffee a tall lab. She is just like Butterscotch and we know he sent her, just as Channie sent him. Someday we pray we will all have a ranch together under the blue skies of heaven. We will run and play fetch and never get old and leave each other again, but in the meantime, Lynne will take photos of us that we will frame and hang under the lights in our memory hallway wall where we can see each other and dream of the day when we will all be together again.
