Did a search for gourmet cupcakes online and saw the great reviews for Luca Pastry. It was my partner’s birthday and I wanted it to be extra special. I bought an assortment of delicious items including chocolate cake, apple pecan cupcake, chocolate pumpkin cupcake, mini cannoli . After learning it was my parents birthday they threw in a sample of my choice . I went with the fruit tart which was spectacular. This location was recommended to me. I ordered the. Vanilla Bean Mousse cake and had some additions added and the cookies removed. It turned out so beautiful. I also ordered 6 chocolate cupcakes to go along with the cake. This was for for my moms 80th birthday. The cake was a huge hit. It was delicious, moist and not to sweet. I love that they are open 7 days a week. It made picking up a cake on a Sunday very easy. Everything was ready when I arrived and the staff was very helpful and cheerful. This is the second time having Luca’s do a cake for a graduation party. AMAZING the flavor, decorations and colors spot on. Compliments coming in left and right from all guest at the party. Best cake I have had from a bakery in decades!!!!! Had the lemon-raspberry!! OMG!!! It had lemon frosting, a huge dollop of raspberry whipped cream, perfectly executed sponge cake with a superfine crumb but still very moist, AND generous, delicious, raspberry AND lemon filling! ! Really stupid layout. At one end of the counter is a cash register and at the other end of the counter is another cash register. You walk up to the cannoli bar where there’s a menu board. You look up and decide. You start to tell them, but they said no ordering there, I’d have to go to one of the register. They were abrupt about it. I went to the big case and selected a slice of cake to try out. I told the cashier that I wanted to a slice of cake and one of the cannolis from over there. Again, I was told no. What’s going on??? I was told the cash register on the left edge of the counter is for cakes and cupcakes only and the cash register on the other edge of the same counter is for cannolis only. They said that I had to do each separately. There was no one in there when I was there. I asked if you go to the grocery store, who has heard of buying your milk at one register and your orange juice at another register? They actually got hostile and rude. I told them to just forget the cannoli all together. I bought the slice of cake, but as I got into my car, I concluded that I won’t be back. More...
